Compressor is Knackered - Don't try this at Home
Had Geoff over tonight, many many thanks with the Faultmate rescue. I had to replace my Battrey with the RRS TDV8 one, and a O/S/R height sensor....only to find the Compressor will not kick in.
So luckily one is enroute to me from TLO and will be here tomorrow
HAS ANYBODY FITTED ONE, and are there any problems I can encounter, or problems I might find doing it myself.

Right Pain in the Jurie I'll tell ya.....We were/are to start our xmas leave next weekend, and although we have the FL1, the Baby seat only fits Isofix , so I have to fix it tomorrow.
Geoff has set the car level as it was'nt after I changed the faulty Height Sensor, and now it needs air. Faultmate said a Max of 400psi in the tank and the pump could'nt add anymore. All the pump did was make a faint noise and some warmth..
Just need to know of any pitfalls in attempting this myself
I had a new compressor fitted at Yeovil and they had to upgrade the vehicle (suspension?) software to make it compatible with the latest compressor. I would get a dealer or indy with IDS to fit it Previously:

Wish I could get it down the road..............I think my only option is to fit myself. I am hoping it will fill the tank, but if not I will need to call upon Geoff and his faultmate AGAIN

Yeah, Wiggs (via mobile) and Geoff , every possibility was looked at and tried, definately has to be the compressor, its like it has no oomph. It tries to pump looking at the pressures on Faultmate, raises the PSI to max of 420 then its stops, when really it should be 1700psi...
Hardly a noise from the pump, just a faint PUT PUT PUT and not the normal Buzzing noise. Its definately getting power as the compressor get warm, but thats about it.....

Just what mine did.
I do know LRA can change them by the roadside, so guess it can't be too bad.

I've got a spare one if you need it, only 3 bolts to change and a couple of pipes to undo. Club Forum Criminal !!!
Ive changed mine without knowing what the hell i was doing. It took me about 4-6 hours trying to figure it out but once its off its fairly straightforward and obvious.
You'll need to put it on some ramps/lift as getting underneath is a pain. its very simple, only problem is getting the protective box off from around it. Hope that gives a bit of help?

It really is a simple operation, except for the third bolt on the top side of the chassis, i used one of those flexible type extensions for ease.Club Forum Criminal !!!
