Well I am in now trying to warm up whilst waiting for the NEW Compressor. Finally wrestled the poxy thing from its position on the chassis and get the Air Pipes out...........Not the easiest thing to do since its ALL corroded.
After some advice from TFC I ran the compressor without the pipes, and although its ALWAYS run the noise from is is very faint and the Puffs of air are very faint to be only described as the same power of squirt of aftershave. How that can be expected to fill the tank is impossible.
I always seperated the pump from the bracket, cleaned everything up and now waiting
Not bad for a Pavement DIY fix, but not recomended chaps and cannot wait till its all over
