The Cooper LTZ's are now ...ON!!
Had them / fitted Thurs and can report:
1] Tyres were developed as a Sport/AT TYRE
2] On twistys - no extra road noise and tyre grips very well.
3] Tread depth 10.5mm v 8.5 of std road tyres.
4] Cann't account for off road yet - but on green laning all was ok.
5] Even though at 20", the sidewall is slightly taller than that of a 19" with MTR ??
6] At 285 profile, the actual width was only 5mm less than the 295 currently on.
7] They aslo do in a 18"
So far, very pleased with tyre - just need to check out Motorway Speeds, Off Road capability and of course - wear rate.
Will keep all posted.

Interesting.
Will be interested in how they compare to AT2's for in and off road use.

They look great 8) I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

They look good and get good reviews for rock crawling. Let us know how they are in the mud.

They look awesome Ron, what if any effect on the MPG have they had verses the General Grabbers? I assume no rubbing/wobble issues?

No rubbing!
Don't know about fuel economy yet, not used them long enough.
But as these are a 50 profile versus the 45 on the Grabbers, the speedo runs at 1mph under actual road speed.
Whereas the Grabbers ran spot on road speed versus actual speed.
So I expect this alone will have a slightly different effect on recorded mpg.
Not sure which way though ...
think it might register as better mpg with the slightly higher rolling circumference.

I understand the LTZ's are not available in the UK yet, how and where did you get them from ?? The boots on the old girl are getting low and will need to change in the next month or two.

Cost was £150 inc vat + fitting.
I bullied the importer [for many months] to bring a set in from the US specifically for me.
[Believe I'm the first vehicle to run with them in the EU.]
However they should be available on the open market by mid April.
Don't know where you are in North Yorks, best bet is to contact Steve at T Elsey in Malton.
I had mine sent there for fitting.
They are only available in 18" & 20".
got some 20" Grabbers up for grabs - if one offer doesn't materialise....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Hello all,
I currently have the original Goodyear Wrangler HPs on my 08MY TDV6 SE (255/60R18). They've done about 38,000kms and will soon need replacing.
I'm very interested in the Zeon LTZs (285/60R18) as the extra height and width should make them more capable aired down in the soft sand beaches near my home.
I contacted the local Cooper reseller but they were concerned enough about clearance/rubbing issues they contacted Cooper Australia directly. The response was apparently that Cooper did not recommend these tyres for my car for the reasons mentioned above.
Is anyone able to confirm if rubbing is an issue with these tyres on the standard LR 18" wheels? I don't have a rear wheel carrier or long range fuel tank etc.
I will be sure to post my experiences with these tyres if I do have them fitted but am a little unsure about them right now.
Thank you,
Ryan.

I think they may rub on yours as the 2008 have a different shape weld/metal to the inside wheel arch over the 2006 that RonP has. But Ron or Al cope should be able to give more detail Bodsys Brake Bible
