As long as he's ok.
Yes, he was on the opposite side to me but without him and others this thread wouldn't not have made even 1/4 the size it did.
It will still be a painful hit to the system and for that I wish him well, I'm sure that feeling is echoed from others as well.In loving memory of FA54WSK.
Rest well old friend, your work is done.

I wish him well as per my other post but hoping we can now leave the "Westminster elite" and general North-South pro independence diatribe and move on in solidarity.
Maybe we can all now work together more against the crap in holyrood and London to make the union a better place for all.MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

This issue will bubble away for years.
Scotland has enough issues with division.
People will forever judge and brand you with 2 questions.
1. What's your team?
2. What school did you go to?
We don't need. 3. What did you vote? To be added to that mix.
The next year will be interesting.

I agree with the above but what about the risk of this repeating itself?
I'm in my 40s and watched with bewilderment the '79 Scottish referendum and now this one. Whilst everyone signed-up to a binding agreement a number of the Yes lobby are openly talking of the next referendum or even a self-declaration when the demographics see the demise of the older (wiser?) parts of the electorate.
The Yes campaign has the constant advantage of the one-way valve; it only has to win once whist the the No campaigners have to win each and every time. Meanwhile this small island suffers the indignity of gaining more and more elected or non-elected bodies, and their support staff, to govern those who do not happen to be a member of the EU Commission, MEP, MSP, MP, Lords, Quangos, Welsh Assembly, Regional body, Elected Mayor, Metropolitan Authority, County Council, Local Council, Parish Council, possible English Parliament ad nauseam….Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Certainly all the talk about the next referendum or self declaring independence/UDI isn't going to persuade companies to invest in Scotland. Companies would be off there trolley to risk it. We're still considering whether we sell up Heeland Gaff of not. If this Indi drive continues regardless of Thursday's vote then it's going to be more likely. As Robbie (I think) said, if the Nats get their result those supporting no will just muddle on. If there is a no result the Nats will be a right PITA. Tis indeed proving to be so.

Robbie you are absolutely correct. I did mention earlier in this topic that there was a poll carried out, before the vote, about when the next one would be, it was something like 25% in 10 years and another 17 in 25 years, God help usJoined the BMWX5 45e group

But surely there is more to bind us than the lubrication provided by the black stuff can overcome?
I have fought alongside loyal British Scots and stood by the Union Flag draped coffins of those who have paid the ultimate price for their country. Just how did this pettiness, self-interest and blinkered separatism come to damage so much of what we know to be precious?Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

...that's pretty much the angle Gordon Brown came from with his speech last week...fortunately it seems to have resonated with a great many Scots"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Good question Robbie but I've got a feeling it's going to get worse. The yes lot will switch to a campaign of making as much trouble as possible, blaming it all on the Westminster ELITE. The fact that the people rejected them is just an inconvenience and a delay to their pipe dream.

Agree entirely Robbie.
We've been through a lot as a nation and always the Scots have stood proudly shoulder to shoulder.
I'd hate to be in the opposing side when those highland regiments came calling!!
But the division created by the SNP May last for years now.
I hope not.
