DSL have you spoken to John or is he sitting in a dark room endlessly watching braveheart on a constant loop drinking malt and muttering darkly about the Westminster elite etc?All things shipping, storage, transport. UK and worldwide.

Unfortunately not. I've tried to call him (home & mobile) but no joy. ISTR he was going to the Southport Airshow as he provides the radios for it so he might be back on the grid next week.

Hope he's ok.
He fought his corner well, if almost a little deludedly, but held his ground.
Glad I didn't take his financial tip mind you!! All things shipping, storage, transport. UK and worldwide.

Seeing from fb, a minority who only believe democracy exists when it goes their way.
This issue will bubble away for years.
Scotland has enough issues with division.
People will forever judge and brand you with 2 questions.
1. What's your team?
2. What school did you go to?
We don't need. 3. What did you vote? To be added to that mix.
The next year will be interesting.
I do like how Cameron has backed milliband into a corner though. In loving memory of FA54WSK.
Rest well old friend, your work is done.

It's got to be hard on the guy. So convinced was he of victory he had his gloating planned 24 hours ahead. It's turned into one heck of a reality check.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Yes he was in a bubble and genuinely believed it was 100% win time. This is why Political and/or religious fervour must be discouraged because its dangerous.

I genuinely feel sorry for John....and I hope that doesn't come across as patronising, that's not how it's meant.....55% of my countrymen (who voted) got what they wanted, but we mustn't forget the not inconsiderable 45% who didn't.
That's democracy at work of course....but for some this wasn't just voting for a Government (that you have a chance to get rid of 5 years later anyway)...this was something some people have dreamed about, literally all their lives......from his passion,I would suggest John was one of that ilk.
Yes,he was convinced the Yes vote was "in the bag" and that is uncomfortable to read back, but it was no worse than a certain individual on here who disagreed with him.
Maybe he's just retired hurt, back to the comfort (reality check)? of the FFRR forum, along with a couple of his cohorts, but it can't be denied that he added to lively debate, whether you agreed with him or not.....and this from one who didn't agree with him.....on pretty much everything he said.
I am delighted in the outcome,as I made my stance clear from the outset, but there is only thing worse than a bad loser......a bad winner
Edit:beaten by DG...again"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...
