Hope hes ok - he invested a lot into the YES campaign and stood his corner well.
Dave
Will give him a call later, he's going to be knackered physically & emotionally. When he comes back in we'll have a big group hug ready.

JMC had enough stern warnings from me, he ignored them and carried on preaching his snake oil dream, he has to live with that, its not our problem. I even told him to have a plan for after the vote as he would be proven to be very wrong, and as he was so entrenched in the nonsense he would possibly suffer grief.
Anyway he was and if he didn't take that advice then sorry but in my opinion he has caused enough damage already, he needs time to think about his actions and how best to move forward, I am sure that even in his home town people will be pointing and laughing at him, not a pleasant position to be in but then he knew the risks.

That post does you no credit,or the "No" campaign
Many people on here,me included, thought John fought a passionate, committed and tireless campaign, even though few of is agreed with him....belittling him and gloating is not an attractive sight"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

It wasn't a game, it was dangerous and the consequences could have been to ruin a country, I can't forgive hm for that. I have no doubt he 'thought' what he was doing was right, but it wasn't the country have told him, he has to live with that!
As a person I have never met him but his humour on here is to be congratulated, just a shame he was on the wrong side
As for gloating Im not, it all sad, but I am sure if the Yes had one hell would have been unleashed, all my warnings are logged on this thread, he ignored all, what more could I do?
Read his threads he was gloating about the damage that could occur to England and the rest of the union, currency, house prices e.t.c. Hatred also came out for sections of society and total disregard for anyone who didn't believe in his cause.
I will leave it at that, its all on here, it wasn't game it was deadly serious, the consequences were devastating should they have won, please remember that!

Genuine question here; it would appear some bloke from the Daily Telegraph has tweeted that 74% of 16-17 year olds voted Yes. How would they be able to tell that? Surely they'd have to identify, by number, every single vote and pull them to count? Or is it a , talk to 6 folk and multiply it up job? I know of several who were staunch No voters.
Just curious but fully aware the bloke might be speaking out his bahookie.
Answering own question....it appears the Ashcroft Poll was based on a survey of 2000 voters and, from that, only 14 were of the 16-17 age group.

You can't forgive him for voicing his own opinion...?Previously owned an '08 D3 HSE in Stornoway grey but jumped ship to see what the Swedes have to offer.

No, but he was trying to draw in and convince others to join his snake oil dangerous dream, that is what was wrong, very wrong! Even after everyone on here tried to show him evidence of warnings from experts, he ignored them and carried on, using spin and the same old excuses, that was the dangerous time and some basic analysis of a person who does that gives you a clear warning.
Anyway, as I said I am not commenting any more on JMC, maybe politics should not be on a forum, but thats not for me, I had to defend my country and did, you will notice for months I didn't get involved in the thread, but it was getting too dangerous to ignore.

Euan please tell me that the posters warbling on the topic isn't meant to be taken seriously?.....I was under the impression he only posts what he does for comedy entertainment. I always find his opinions ridiculously funny.....You saying he actually means what he says in this topic?....That this guff is meant to be taken seriously? Woah, steady up there......I was giving him credit for humour, but I will have to rethink......He may be on medication...It's a possibility? d'ya think?
