England 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 Base 7 Seat Manual Bonatti GreyDiscovery 3

Hi,

The side mouldings were £78.00 + £8.75 PP (I got this from them via ebay)

The radio button module was £39.95 incl PP (I didn't ask for a breakdown)

Great tip - worked perfectly - done after max 10 minutes.

A little nervous about the air back, but I just followed the instructions, and it was piece of cake...!!

Thanks and Merry Christmas.

Drivesafe, did you get the steering controls fitted?

Drivesafe,

How did you go? I'd like to do this to my Disco3 if it's possible on a MY06 vehicle.

Cheers,

MIchael.

--- woops, I did not see that there is several pages to this post. I see that this has been done on Aus Disco's. My only fear now is the price of the part!

get a quote from your dealer and compare it to the man from Yeovil plus post and it will probably be cheaper.

Here the part is $250 + alone. It will be cheaper from the uk. Postage via Royal mail should be about ten quid.

Part prices

I got a price on the XPD 500-500 WVH today while my Disco was in for its' 1500k service. $198.90 Sad

What are my options to try to source this part (and possibly the 2 parts needed to install the 12V outlet behind the center armrest)? The 12V jack parts totalled over $130 which I was not thrilled about, as it's probably just a plastic panel and a 12V socket.

The only good news was the CD tray for the glove box I wanted will 'only' be $25.70. Smile

Anyone over in Europe got any contacts where I could get a price on the part and postage to Aus?

Cheers,

MIchael.

Another option

Has anyone got a wiring diagram for a Disco3? In particular the steering wheel audio buttons? It should be possible to add your own buttons to the existing blank panel.

Hi mzc, the price is a rip off but they are far better than trying to fit your own.

See how you go with scouring one from overseas.

Part diect from the UK

Got a price back from Nick, and it's about half what the Aus dealer quoted, so a much more realistic option!

Fitting with Parrot Car Kit

Just a quick note to make you aware, if you fit these buttons, and also have a parrot car kit installed, using the parrot autolead for the power (SOT-082), the remote cables are not connected through on the parrot wiring loom. I have just had to install an additional wire for the remote, which works off pin 7 on the main harness loom to the radio, all works fine now, but initially thought the switches were knackered.
