In lieu of my car being drenched throughout last week on hols, sunroof left open overnight, I got to thinking, how hard would it be to hook up the rain sensor to the sunroof and windows. Its probably a bl**dy daft question but if at all achievable it would be a great feature to wire in.

You wouldn't want to get that mod wired up the wrong way around. PAGODA

but wouldn't the car be asleep so the rain sensor wont be looking, or if it could would that not keep the car awake and thus drain the battery?? Experience is a difficult teacher, because she gives the test first and then the lesson afterwards!!!!

You could link the sunroof to a GPS so that it would not open at all north of Carlisle. A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

Hi B16 I have an industrial dehumidifier in there with a bl**dy great fan, its been running for three days now and hardly extracted a drop from the car, I feel the problem is the foam is not letting the water to the surface, I have to drive over to Belguim this weekend on return Im think I am going to have to strip her out, if it starts to mould or smell its an insurance job
Gawd only knows what the outcome of that will be as I havent informed them at the time, may be time to move on to a D4

When it happened to me I had to remove the carpets and sound proofing. The sound proofing is a very thick foam which acts like a giant sponge and it took ages to dry out. Would it not be better just to strip out the carpets and sound proofing before you go and put it somewhere warm to allow it to dry out. The longer its left the more likely it is that mildew and mould will form
