I treated Lenny to a oil and filter change today,I also did the air and pollon filters. I did not do the fuel filter but will attempt that another day. When I ran the car up the ramps I had to have steps to get to oil filter ! Finally I fitted new rear lights with resistors. Just a thanks to everybody on here for all the advice and the "how to,s" as I could not have done it with out you. If a fat bold chauffeur can do it anyone can

Good work my friend! Did you go for the D4 original rear lights or the latest black ones?

Hi fella, I went for D4 originals because I got them For £140 delivered. The offside one has a slight crack in the clear plastic at the side of the fog light. It's hardly noticeable so I took a chance and bought them. The delivery charge was £15 so I don't think I did bad at £140 all in. The resistors were £6 off flee bay and I scotch locked them in and it was done. I just did not do the fuel filter as I thought I may get into trouble restarting it. I did not fancy messing about priming it. Besides my back had gone by then

Good price for the lights
I had a bit of trouble with the fuel filter earlier this year. Car wouldn't start but just had a bit of air in the system which was no problem in the end. Panicked a bit though.....

Oh very nice. Always it is good to see the appreciation and status of new LR in the family.
Unfortunately my last t-shirt I received from my MRS was The Old Guys Rule - Shed happens Disco 3 HSE (55) - gone
BMW x3 (62) x30d MSport - current
Lenny has been in the garage today and the consensus of opinion is that the diff has a slight noise but nothing very serious but the vibration on the overrun is the centre bearing on the propshaft. They said the rubber had split and they think changing the bnearing will cure the problem. So fingers crossed it is going back next Saturday to be done Has any body had this problem and it turned out to be prop ?

I don't believe anybody has successfully replaced the centre bearing, I think it usually ended up with a new rear prop.
It would be interesting to know if/how your Indy manages it

Hi Mark
Hoped your wallet would have been spared this month
I had diff noise recently - had all diff oil changed & additive added - all good since.......
Don't think prop shaft replacement is too expensive though?
