I ordered a FBH controller from Pete on Monday and it arrived in the post today. 30 minutes of fitting later (very simple) and it worked exactly as promised.
An excellent product, thanks Pete.
When I get enough courage (to open the box) I may add an external LED to show that the signal's been recieved.

Your welcome, im glad you are happy.
if you do open the box please open it as on the prevuious page to this one, the LED is a twin color LED so has 3 fine pins/legs to the case lid as seen in the Farnell link below. Its nothing to be scared of as long as you know to be gentle.
If fitting an external LED and you want a new one the Farnell link to it is, though it must be installed the right way round or your colors will beoppersit to what they are now lol.

Hi Pete, was on the list this morning after putting some lights on the roof rack of my D2, however I came off rather ungracefully to say the least (missed my footing) so I hope to do it tomorrow. I have read the link kindly indicated to me so things are looking straightforward. Thanks for asking and your help this morning.Nick

Yeeesss, done it, 10 minutes and it fired up straight away! Brilliant bit of kit, thanks Pete. Doing anything on my D3 scares the out of me, I will quite happily take my D2 apart and rebuild it, but the 3 - oooooooh!Nick

Great news As you see as long as you get the 3 wires correct it just does what it says on the tin and so makes fitting a doddle without complex options to get wrong etc etc.

If it's a red wire you have two options. The first is cut it and join my green wire to it as the red wire is redundant anyway. The second is remove it from the plug and add my green wire in it's place.

For your car you should have a wire in pin 2 - a red one!
You will find instructions in this thread and others but in essence it is possible to remove by pressing the metal tang down and pulling the wire/pin out of the connector. Others have been more brutal and have cut into the red wire further down the loom. Again, pictures and discussions in this very thread!
