Just installed mine. Straight forward job. All works perfectly
My drive always starts with a 2500 ft decent of the mountain we live on the side of. The engine doesnt warm up until I get to valley floor, so this will do my engine and me no end of good.
Great product recommend it.

Just taken mine apart to set Dip 1 to On to get it to burn for up to 45 minutes (on the basis that for a shorter burn I just trigger it with less time-to-go till my journey). After wrestling the PCB from the case I found the Dip switches covered in a kind of glaze, which made moving the switch a little tricky. Is this how they come these days?Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Did the same thing yesterday. The glaze is some sort of protective plastic foil, that just peels off. Getting the thing out of the case was the bigger problem, since the screws somehow scratch the sliding rail that the module sits in. Haven't tried the 45min setting yet but hopefully will warm up the engine quite a bit more.
Cheers

I've tried but gave up. Affraid of damaging the PCB. What about getting it into the case? Wrestling or easier?
I opened the case only on the side where the led is, but do I have to unscrew and remove the other cover as well to get the PCB out?

Not sure how they are supposed to work, but I guess it depends on how the screws have gripped and chewed the internal rails.
The only way I could get mine out, to avoid excessive force, was to remove both end caps and then push the PCB from the LED end so it comes out at the cable end of the box.
As mine is an early version, with no writing on the box at all, I applied a few dots of felt pen as witness marks on the case and end caps so it could be assembled exactly the same way as it came apart.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Thanks. i got the new version with the label on and probably the connections and led etc. isn't the same as yours. The PCB is hooked to the led with 3 very thin connections, hence this fragile connection will be damaged if I pull out the board from the other side(the cabel side).
Pete, can you please explain how to approach this safely? Land Rover - It Hurts So Good

Hello all,
To open the box for adjustment do the following
1: Unscrew the 2 screws on the cable end plate and slide the plate down cables.
2: Then unscrew the 2 screws on the LED end plate.
3: Once undone push the PCB out from the cable end towards the LED end so the pcb will come out with the LED end plate attached.
Some times its stiff as the screws byte into the sliding partof the case holding the pcb still.
You will see the DIP switches in the middle of the pcb, all info is in this document on my web page of what the dip switches do and what settings to use.
