In about two weeks we will have ready for sale stock of the GSM add on kit, the sms replys will be simlar to. Pricing is going to be around 150+vat but is to be confirmed nearer to the time. It will include a programmer to prerogram kit1 to the new gsm compatable firmware if you are doing self install.
Adding kit2 to kit1 will need some basic soldering to connect 5 wires, I will install/solder/connect kit2 in exchange for the normally supplied programmer after purchase of kit2 if owners send me their existing kit1 by post for the modification, I can then send back the joined kits ready as plug and play units. This should help people who do not want to or can not solder.

Pete, this sounds great! Will you deliver a complete package (Kit 1&2) too?

I think you have possibily left an earth from the earth post ? the kit only talks to the heater and not the rest of the car so it does sound like a loose connection or earth missing.

re the box,, it will flash
orange long
green short
red short
green short
that is the boot sequence on start up.
if you get
orange long
orange long
etc etc you have it in a firmware loop from a loose wire when you are putting the earth on last.
