Well, the good news is that it took 5 mins to fit (after I'd done some head scratching over there already being a wire in pin 2 so after a quick forum search I had it fitted). Press the button and away it went - loads of smoke and it started straight away. How happy was I, but it wasn't to last.
So, I tidied up the wiring, put the battery box back on and thought I'd give it another go.
It now primes, fires and just as the fan gets faster, stops. Have cleared the faults, run it through many cycles and still the same. Obviously nothing wrong with the BAS controller, but the FBH is requiring attention. I'm presuming it's either a fuel blockage of fuel pump issue. Off to search the forum now. D3 HSE

Is the car already warm ? or has the fbh not been working for a while ?
If so this could explain it.. dont push it to mant times when its warm, try it again when its cold as some heaters wont jump back into life unless they are stone cold if they have been not working for a while.
Dont worry about manually clearing the faults to try and help it,, the FBHIC does that automaticlly

thanks Pete - it's not fired since March and the engine was warm as I'd got home about 20 mins before fitting. I'll leave it overnight and try again in the morning. D3 HSE

That could explain it, see how it goes from cold. If it does fire up try and leave it for the 30 min cycle if you can to blow the cobwebs out.

Worked a treat this morning. Wife happy as she was able to get heat from the outset, so worth every penny for the tranquil commute in today.
So, what's the easiest way to link it to a GSM module as I feel impending laziness coming on as it's 100' walk to where I park D3 HSE

The plipper should work 100 ft away, I plip mine from my bed and the signal travels without fail, right through several block / brick walls and out to my car at front of house up to 70 ft away.

Hi you have the module in a firmware loop You need to unpower it and repower it making sure NOT to jiggle the wire as you are adding it back to power it up.
Then you should get it out of the loop. When you have been doing the hard resets you must have had a jiggle on with the battery+ wire when putting it back on.

Hi Pete, well glad to say my controller still working a treat, am just wondering if there is any way of putting a tel-tail LED so i can see if it has switched on, as cant see the car from house, and when dark cant see the smoke either ??

I cant see how a tel-tail LED on the car would work if you cant see it from the house ? The only other option is GSM as it would text you.
How far away from the house is the car ?
We are waiting on stock of new parts for the GSM addon at the moment.
