Got your voicemail, but I've got three weeks worth of work to catch-up on (not that you'd understand )
Will catch-up soon enough. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

John, firstly welcome back.....there is a great deal of hurt in your response, and I'm not going to cherry-pick the bits I don't politically agree with as clearly you are still very raw....but,regardless of politics or indepence, you can still wear a kilt with pride, and fly the Saltire (the Yes campaign did kidnap it after all)
You believe it's a betrayal, on that we disagree...but you are still a proud Scotsman, and no one can ever take that part away....certainly not lying politicians "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

C'mon John, tell the truth. You'd borrowed DT's login and he was secretly working for the yes camp.

I still needed a little bit more persuasion. Now had Wee Eck promised the weather up in the Heelands was going to be same as the Cote d'Azure I'd have been hooked.

Your avatar says it all. I have no pride in my country region. Simply wearing a kilt will not bring that feeling back. I am a resident of the Northern part of a country known as United Kingdom. I am subservient to a Westminster government who does not do my bidding.

The betrayal is still to come. I don't believe the 55% betrayed me personally. Whether they acted through knowledge or fear is their problem, but they didn't do it out of spite for me. So we don't disagree. The betrayal will be upon them, by Westminster, as has been done before. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

John, I'm sorry but this is the first full working day since the result, what the hell do you expect?
And do you really think we should have to go through all this again in two, five or even 10 years? Say it had been Yes winning 55 to 45, would you say we should have another vote?
It was lost by Salmond and sturgeon, if they had a plan B that they told us just in case there was no pound, eu, NATO etc then yes would probably have romped home and I would be looking at moving.

John,
Welcome back, I hope your feeling better.
I think its wrong to say that the NO vote was down to half dead pensioners and above.
Lets face it the NO vote won 52-48 in the 18-24 Young Adult age group!
Plus every age group from 18 - 54 was reasonably close.
It was only the NEW GROUP of 16-17 year old's (brought in by Salmon) that had a big majority 71-29

John, the saltire is part of that flag...I couldn't be prouder to be Scottish.....being British also does not dilute that, for me at least "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

And the vast majority of people who said they voted No always knew they’d vote No.
The No vote had won months ago....
