DR tranny arrived in the mail! |

Hi everyone,
Thank you for all the advice provided.
After three weeks of waiting for DR tranny To arrive in the mail, I've finally went a local workshop and did a mega flush. Cost me MYR80, about £15. I managed to find lifeguard 6, replaced ten liters of them, and added 2 tubes of DR tranny.
The result was superb. The transmission is like gliding perfectly smooth. Fuel consumption reduced.
But a week later the same familiar codes come up again:
1. Knock sensor - intermittent
2. Turbo under boost - intermittent
But no codes registered on the PCM, TCM or TCCM.
Land Rover as usual still guessing around from the SDD forresults.
Anyone with similar issues? Please, please advice. Thank you.

I had a problem at 1800 revs and between 50-60mph with the gears slipping and the rev counter twitching so I started to do some research. It led me to the Torque Converter and speaking to a guy at Land Rover he said I needed a new one (£500.00 for the part and £400.00 to fit). I wasn't convinced (and as I do in business) I went with my gut reaction.
I came across Dr Tranny and read what it did. Over a period of time the fluid in the ATF tank breaks down and causes the Torque Converter to slip as there's no traction. I bought 2 tubes of Dr T (£15.00 off ebay) and asked my local LR garage to put them both into the ATF tank (£30.00).
The car drove perfectly straight away and fixed the slipping/twitching/juddering for a cost of £45.00 compared to £900.00. Only time will tell if this works so I'll report back when I've done 1,000 miles.
The guy in the garage had never heard of the product before and he too wants me to report back.
Dr T is the Mr T of Transmission fixing.

I've now done 3K miles and the fault has gone – no slipping although there's an ever so slight change on 1500 revs. Going to put another tube in which will get rid of any slipping altogether.

Dr Tranny worked great for me.
I just syringed out some oil from the cooler pipe, and added two tubes of Dr Tranny.
This was done within a week of the judder starting. Lets see how long it lasts.
have done 1000miles since and its flawless.
105,000miles oil was done at 96,000 previous owner so not sure how well.
syringed oil looked clean and still redish colour.
best £15 quid ever spent.

Any longer term feedback on mega flush and Dr tranny fix? Mine a D3 hse auto with 96k. Judders when I take up third gear and revs fluctuate slightly.

Damon, it's been great (not perfect) but the Dr Tranny fixed 5 of my 6 gear slips I had on my D3 auto. It also stopped acceleration and breaking judder. I bought 2 tubes and got my local garage to put it is £40.00 in total and it was like a new car. They hadn't heard of Dr Tranny and had quoted me 1K to fix the problem.
Do it. it won't mess up the car. You'll be impressed.

Did my Dr T and megaflush 4 years and 30k miles ago - still fine
Now on 99k

It's ok for at least 20000km, but you have to put 2 tubes in, 1 tube is not giving a propre result. After 20000km I had a metal sump and new filter installed. No Dr. Tranny in at the moment (new oil) but if judder or slip comes back I'll put 2 new tubes in. 2017-...: Disco II Td5 auto, 1999, BAS remap, HD TC and auto box Ashcroft, Allisport IC, ACE, 2" lift only coils, BF goodrich KM2 265/70R17, FF front and rear bumper, TF steering guard and tree sliders, nanocom.

Mine goes in Tom for gearbox and converter not what I want in Jan but needs must be so nice to get rid of the slip a few judder

@LucyLandy - keep us updated on progress, I watch with interest as I'm looking at my D3 as a keeper for a few years yet and will be wanting to do some much needed and also some preventative maintenance.

Dr Tranny helped my autobox for 20k miles, but eventually needed new TC 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Dr Tranny and a gearbox flush has given mine a new life. Done about 10k miles ago and still seems to be working. Certainly the cheaper option!
