Wiggs,

My plan 'B', as the tv module is pointless in Oman, would be as follows:

1. Activate the 'Companion Camera' in the ccf which I would presume requires a NTSC feed and is without sound.
2. Connect video source through a converter to provide NTSC input to the back of the SatNav screen where the companion cam input is.
3. Connect the audio out from the video source to the Auxillary line in of the stereo/ amplifier.

If my assumptions are right I could then select Com Camera from the Audio/Visual screen to watch the movie and select Aux for the sound as they should be exclusive of one another?? And hey presto video and sound on the Sat Nav screen....

The problem I have is this seems toooooooo simple not to have been done before, and therefore await to be shot dwon in flames...

Cheers

Guy

no it dosent work ..i have to tryed many times to use this spare companion cam .

it must wait for a signal from the docking station ( when the camera is attached to it ) to allow the picture to work on the touch screen

i just use it via the diagnostic port now

Thanks Wiggs, diag screen it is then Smile

On another note my BT phonebook has frozen.... For the first couple of days it worked fine, I could scroll through the names or type them. Now however the screen only displays the first 3 names and can't find anymore... Any ideas???

I know it has been mentioned it can get confused where to display the phone book and freeze, but, this has been like this for several days now Confused

Should I disconnect the battery and do a hard boot? Any other ideas?

Cheers

Yes bud do the hard reset or if you have the switch fitted just switch back to D3 setting and let the car go to sleep then it should reset it.

Brightness for RR mode hack

Has anyone come to a solid conclusion on how to fix this issue of brightens being low while nav hack is in RR mode?

Thanks Santi,

Did the hard reset and upgrade to ICS on the S2 and all working great.

Time for another question. I've been looking into the ACM kit for the iPod and was wondering if having done the screen hack you gain any extra functionality with the ACM, EG You can use the touch screen etc, etc??

Sorry for all the questions, but, you guys seem to have tried everything Razz

Cheers
