I played with this and even installed a switch to swap between software versions but I just cannot live with the dim screen and it's not even my car
I'm back on the original Disco software until a quick fix to the dim screem is posted Adrian......
Long term goal is to install a reverse camera but it can wait for now

Did mine this morning, only took 10 minutes.
The screen was a bit dim, but I had a look in the screen settings and was able to adjust it so that it is nice and bright now.
You have to go through the settings again, i.e., date, time format 12/24hr etc
Only thing is that with my Blackberry I can only see 2 of my contacts. Will try with the wifes galaxy sII later and see if it is a blackberry issue.
I have a d4 module fitted and thinking about it, the blackberry was always funny with regards, conecting and then disconnecting from the module.
I have not had any of the volume issues, I can select cd from the screen and still change the volume and tracks using the steering wheel controls. d4 HSE in Corris Grey with Black options pack

Alive Tuning Re-map
Alive Atrics console
Samco intercooler hoses (from Alive Tuning)
Alive Tuning De-Cat pipe, lovely tone!

I wonder if you could put an additional switch or double function switch in that also interrupts the power to the screen and therefore reboots the software without having to switch ignition off and wait for the car to go to sleep etc before being able to switch LR / RR software over? I can only suppose there must be more to it than that or I'm sure Wiggs would have done that?
Just thinking that if you had the camera connected on the RR software but was about to do some reversing but lets say you're in your LR software then you would have to switch off and go through the shutdown process just so you could see whats behind you? Seems a right pain unless you leave it permanently in the RR software in which case there would be no need for a switch?
Sorry guys was just thinking aloud

Have just been out and when I put my lights on the screen went very dull.
Even when I went into settings and turned it up it was still very dull. However a quick adjust of the dash light thumb wheel and all was bright again.
Still can't get the phonebook working, d4 HSE in Corris Grey with Black options pack

your home button does not work ...you need to select home from any of the touch screen pages on screen ....and the other button is now swapped round
sounds worse than it is ...and you could always swap the pins round on the connector pictured above if it bothered you
Anybody know what pins need swapping to get the back and other button working?

Hi everyone, looking at doing this mod but wanted to put in the switch to move between the two modes. Do any of those that installed a switch recall the switch they used and where it came from? Many thanks
