Factory fit has 2 connectors on the Bluetooth module .. A most connector and a 54 pin connector ( D3 ) and 36 pin ( D4 )
If you get a module without the most connector it can't connect into the fibre optic system .
I would stay clear of XVJ500042 as its the only module that can't be updated .G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Hello Wiggs,
It's been many years since I bought my upgraded Bluetooth module from you...and my RRS is still going strong at 180K miles here, however, I fear that the perhaps a dying Bluetooth module may be causing the "lack of sound" issue I am having at present from the sound system as it seems to occur every time the Phone connects and then shows a no phone connected message on the console.
Do you still have upgraded D4 Bluetooth module to fit my 2006 RRS HSE. Love to get another one if you can PM me details on pricing etc.
Many thanks again...1000's of miles of happy motoring with this module over the years...so have to say it's been impeccable up until just now!

Hi wiggs
I've got a D3 S 2006, when I bought the car it didn't have Bluetooth , so like an idiot I went straight on eBay bought the LR after market hands free kit , fitted the kit and yes it works but as you said "it's pants"
So I've looked through all the posts on here and I think I want to upgrade to the d4 unit , so as I have a mic ( that I need to unplug from after market kit and plug into LR loom) ,and green and red buttons on steering wheel , I can aleast use a bit of the kit the I believe the rest is only good for the bin !!!
I have ordered a d4 module from Yeovil Land Rover and should get to me in a day or two, but I need a way to power it I saw somehow from the fuse board ??? And MOST cable ??? Plus enable it ???
Can you help , I'm from just outside the Grantham area (25 miles ish from Nottingham) faultmate ??
Cheers

Yes .. Correct most cable will plug in the radio as you said
Yes I can supply the most cable ( plug and play )
You will also need a piggy back fuse / add a fuse . I'm not sure if I have any at the mo .. Will have to check ( I have a box on order )
I can also enable it .. It's just a case of meeting up at some pointG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Hi Wiggs, when can I expect my most cable?- sorry but as I've got everything else I'm impatient to try it.
Can more than one phone be used when it is fitted(D4 module), as is his and hers?It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

It will pair with a whole brace of phones. It searches first for the last connected if there is more than one in the car. If if only one paired phone in the car it will connect to that.
