I’m getting frequent issues where the phone numbers and names keep constantly scrolling on the display like it’s loading them. Maybe I have too many useless contacts in my phone.
I plugged the gap in and there appears to be a TEL update available. (Though phone doesn’t show up elsewhere).
It said it would take 40 minutes so I aborted.
I wonder as I have a D4 module in a D3, was it going to squirt the correct update in anyway?
Thinking about it, the late D3s had the D4 module so maybe ok?
Anyone done the phone update with gap iid?
9mbps download speed on O2 5G if it makes a difference. (I was forced to move to o2)

I have acquired a D4 bt unit and now need to find the right cable to convert and fit in my D3. Please could anyone post a link or instructions to convert?

I opted for swapping the HU for an Andoid one with caplay etc, then added some bits in where the old HU was.

Got the kit ready to install now.
Got lucky and picked up a heated steering wheel with phone controls as well for £35, will re-condition leather.
Bluetooth module from Ebay, with plugs so easy to connect power. 8H2210F845AA

Yes, so retrofitting the heating and bluetooth.
Also got the heated clock spring for £25.
With a free micrphone thrown in for the bluetooth retrofit.

Hello! I have a D3 with the basic radio (the one without dial numbers). I currently have bluetooth, and it works OK paired with my iPhone 12. But I don't have any phonebook or any information on the display. When somebody calls me, I need to take out my phone to see who is calling. And when I want to call somebody, the same. It works OK with the phone buttons on the steering wheel.
Is there any option to update this D3 module? Or is it better to upgrade to a D4 one?

I don’t think you can upgrade to the D4 with that basic headunit. (Or any other updates)
I would just put your phone in the cup holder where you can see the display. And enjoy it that way.

Fitted and enabled in CCF with Faultmate MSV-2.
In CCF, just needed to enable:
Microphone
Cellular Telephone to = Docking station with Bluetooth
All working, nice easy install with the loom from amazon plug and play as well.

Also going to try the voice control (I dont have nav / media unit), but i see a setting in the CCF:
"Fitted with voice control (hosted via the cellular telephone module)"
