I just bought a D3.5 MY09 and even though it's a HSE with the premium pack, I can not seem to find the PTI on my Samsung Galaxy S (ignition on as stated in the manual). Car has the phone button and voice command, but no phone buttons on the steering wheel. Might be the phone, but I doubt it...should be able to see it anyhow. What do you think? Any chance of me not having a BT unit? What's the quickest route to verify if I have it?
Is it possible to load the D4 BT with RR software so that it shows the dials in the nav screen? From the posts it seems this is only possible with the modified D3 units, am I right?

Did the swap from D3 to D4 BT module and realized that the change eliminates the sometimes annoying "feature" of the car "stealing phone" calls from your mobile the moment you unlock the car. In the past I had some fun going to the car in the middle of a conference call and pressing the remote a greater distance.
Typically followed by a sprint to the car to turn on the Radio and get back into your conf call....
Now the call only swaps to the car when I turn the radio on or switch on ignition. No more sprints needed
Thanks to Wiggs for this marvelous modification!

Hi,
How Wiggs did that ?
Is it a normal consequence of this swap from D3 to D4 ?
Or did he change something else (power supply source, software parameters...) ?
Thanks,

did the swap myself (living too far away to bother Wiggs) |

Did the swap myself following Wiggs instructions. You just need to get a different power cable (sourced mine from Conrad's) and install the device. No coding needed.

Hi Nikolaus,
I guess you've changed just the power plug... at the end of factory power cable...
Not the source of power supply itself...
Right ?

I fitted the phone switches at the same time as changing my wheel, very easy.
The D4 bluetooth module from Wiggs was a thirty minute job, once I understood the bus optical wiring - turns out to be very simple.
Then Geoff activated it.
Very straight forward.
Works well.
Recommend it. D3 2.7 TDv6 HSE, 2005 in silver.
2009 nav disc (thanks Wiggs)
2007 software upgrade (thanks Wiggs and Geoff) with 3 flash indicators, follow me home reverse lights, fog with side lights & canadian driving lights
D4 bluetooth module (thanks Wiggs again)

Hi
I've recently collected my 07MY D3. I'd like to know if it's possible to swap to RR software (with a D4 BT unit) so I can get my phonebook displayed on the touch screen. In addition to that I want to fit a DAB-ICS 100 via an AUX IN socket. If the RRS is possible would it still recognise the AUX IN socket?
Of course this may all be irrelevant if the RRs is not a viable installation. In which case, do you have any D4 units and what is the cost? If not I'll do the exchange on the D3 BT unit as I have a pairing issue and no phone book!
First visit to the forum. Great site guys!

Hi
The RR software mod is not 100% perfect ...there are some issues ..brightness of the screen being one of them .
There is also the issue of bluetooth phonebook ..if you have the RR software ...the car dosent know were its supposed to send the phone book ( RR dosent have it on the radio display ) so it can get confused . G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Hi wiggs
Im new here, i actually own a 2005 RRS S/C and was passed your details from the RRS forum because i have expereinced pairing issues between my RRS and my Blackberry Bold 9000. Its been suggested that you can sort me out with a latest software module exchange, can you ?.
I am unable to PM you, perhaps you could send me a PM with details of the upgrades you offer, bluetooth, reverse camera etc
Cheers
