I think I have the Nokia BT. Can you substitute this for D4? Is the wiring there?

You would have to remove the old aftermarket kit you have got fitted .
You would need a d4 module and some most cable ( fibre optic )
Once fitted it would need enablingG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Afternoon all,
Got my 2006 HSE D3 yesterday. Been playing with the phone kit and paired my iPhone 4 up no problems. Have read through posts and seen the upgrade option for the phonebook integration. Is it fairly easy to swap it for the D4 unit and if so, what other advantages does that carry?
Cheers,
Gary

Your module can be updated to show the contacts .
D4 module can be swapped very easy .. Connector is different but easily overcome
Advantages of the d4 module
Shows 1000 contacts instead of 300
Shows multiple numbers per name
Shows signal strength and service provider
Better audioG4 Gone ...but not forgotten
