hello, new to the forum. My 08 LR3 bluetooth is horrible. I can hear callers on the other end, but they tell me they can hardly hear me. I'd like to do the D4 BT upgrade. where can I get the module and install instructions? thanks

Hi Guys
I am new to the site and Thanks Wiggs for the previous info on the Bluetooth Modules.
I have a 06 RR SC and the Bluetooth module went out. My question is the module that I have can be replaced by installing a new 09-11 Module with some simple wiring harness changes. Is that right? If so I live in the US and curious about the cost for purchase and shipping to the US. Thanks for the help.

I have tried to read through all 55 pages of this thread but started to get confused, therefore I hope someone can answer my query for me.
I have a 55 HSE, it has every conceivable factory fitted extra in it (more to go wrong!). I ideally want my iPhone to auto connect to the Bluetooth, my old iPhone 3 did but new iPhone 5 has to be paired every time I turn the engine on and off a and I invariably forget until the phone rings in my handbag somewhere.
So to achieve this do I need a firmware upgrade - if so where can I get this done near Southampton?
Or do I need a D4 module change - if so will I be able to do this myself - I'm quite handy with car bits - have to be with this Disco that seems to have every problem going.
I'm not to fussed about the phone book stuff and other controls - as long as I can answer and end calls with the column buttons and see whos calling on the display (at the moment it comes up on the dashboard display not the audio display). I also have some weird old Nokia phone cradle in the fridge lid -
is this relevant to any of these workings?
Any help or guidance would be gratefully received.
Becki

You need your Bluetooth module software upgraded.
Wiggs offers an exchange service but anybody with a Faultmate can perform the upgrade for you (but takes a while to write the upgraded files).
I happen to know that a Faultmate owner will be visiting Southampton on Saturday...
