Hi Wiggs
Thanks very much, huge help
Works like a dream! Upgraded as I am a Blackberry user and post OS5 my 9300 wouldn't connect, but does now with the D4 module
Interestingly the sound with BB OS5 was quite echo'y, but once I upgraded the 9300 to the latest version of OS6 it was crystal clear. Just hope it works with OS10!
My D3 module (upgraded software by Geoff ) has been reserved for a friend, sorry Tony

Many thanks to Wiggs for the kit and all the advice he has provided on this thread
Many thanks to Nick for the parts
Many thanks to Hess for airbag tool
Everything ( as of today ) now installed leather wheel , phone controls and bt 4 upgrade by indie . Enabled by him with autologic and working very well. No attempt made to install before now which is why thanks are late.
The only issue that came up was the same problem that Kes had (and our cars are roughly similar age and same spec) which was loss of continuity between the radio and the a pillar.
There is some mention in this thread about problems in the wiring in the earlier D3 models.
So for future reference any mic issues with d3 200/ early 2006 S model check the wiring if everything is working (except the mic).
Quick fix as identified by my indie and flack is a new wire.
I can only repeat what others have said in this thread - this is a great upgrade.
Now planning the next project D3 project ....

Hi Wiggs
Last year I bought D4 bluetooth module from you and installed it in D3 08. I have an issue.
During talking Bluetooth D4 module is being disconnected from phone and connected again. It happens quite often.
Do you have some solution for this problem?

D4 module would be better
Strange why you have phone buttons though ?
Unfortunately without knowing what you have in the car I can't really give you any advice
Perhaps getting in touch with site sponser Geoff. Might help as he's closer to you and may be able to plug in his computer and see what's fitted and what's not G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Hello!
I am recently installed D4 Bluetooth module in my car. I don't have cellular phone cradle in car.
1. What I must select in CCF by BBS MSV2 in field Cellular Telephone?
Cellular telephone docking station, with bluetooth.
Bluetooth cellular telephone module (without docking station).
Bluetooth cellular telephone module (without docking station) with bluetooth telematics.
Bluetooth telematic module
I think Bluetooth cellular telephone module (without docking station)?
2. When I connect through bluetooth and see phone contacts on IHU, contacts which in Russian in phone is unreadable on IHU. With contacts in English all is OK.
How to solve this problem?

Hi Wiggs,
Hoping you can help (have read first and last few pages of posts and can't see the answer!).
Just picked up a 55 HSE. It has green/red buttons to right of steering wheel and voice control button to left of steering wheel. When searching for Bluetooth on my iPhone 4S it only picks up Ford Audio and pairs using 0000. I can receive calls and call out but have to select contact on the phone first. If I press the green phone button it then asks me which device and then which function. No information regarding the phone shows up on the radio screen - justs says no phone fitted.
From reading the forum it looks like I have the aftermarket Landrover device.
What are my options here as ideally I'd like to get contacts on the radio screen etc.
Regards,
Matt

yes you have the aftermarket kit ...it cant be updated im afraid
if you want contacts and a better phone system ..fit the factory one ..youll need to rip out all the old phone kit wiring
you can leave the switches and mic
you will then need
bluetooth module (d4 is best )
most cable
it would need to be enabled once fitted G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Thanks Wiggs,
Is there a 'How To' anywhere on the website for doing that? Or is it better to get somebody else to do it?! Finally - could you PM me with rough cost for the bits I'd need from yourself?
Regards,
Matt
