Colin
You don't need to touch the steering wheel ... Steering wheel buttons can be left as they are
Mic ... If you have voice control then you can leave that ( although you will have 2 mics fitted ... You can remove one if you wanted to sell the old kit )
That just leaves the loom behind the radio and the 2 modules either side of Center consul to remove ( you can leave the modules in place as long as you remove the wiring ) .. Again .. Remove the modules if you wanted to sell the kit
I'm sure there will be some one who has done the swap that will be able to tell how to remove the old loom G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Thanks Wiggs
I think it is becoming a little clearer in my mind.
At present, my two modules are connected using good old fashioned cabling.
When I install the new module it is included in the most network within the vehicle and connect to mic and steering controls in ths manner.
This then makes the old fashioned cabling redundant and can be removed. If I unplug each of the old modules and pull both sets of wiring back to the plugs at the rear of the headunit and remove completely that would be job done? Colin

Okay, based on this I feel confident to have a go.
Thanks for the clarification wiggs
I will now go to TLO for the D4 module, and if I could buy your plug and play most cable wiggs, along with the little two pin plug for connecting the live and earth.
Then all I need is someone near to central Scotland with faultmate?............. Colin

Hi Wiggs
I posted about a little problems with my D4 module installed in my D3 (of course much better that D3 module)
"I have D4 module update on my D3 fitted a few months ago. After a few initial problems it works fine until last few weeks. What is happen now is once my my BB is pair, suddenly unpair and later on pair again"
You asked me if I updated, answer is NO, are there any D4 module updated?
And Yes, I use RRFF mode, but I changed to D3 mode and same problems. I use another one (with android) and same problem
My problem is to update my D4 module???

Wiggs, I've been reading the posts. Your D4 bluetooth upgrade seems to be the solution for Range Rover phone connectivity. I'm interested in learning more. I've created a un and password on your website but can't seem to log in. I have also emailed you at info@bluetoothexchange.co.uk.
I have a full size 2006 4.4 Range Rover Supercharged. How do I go about purchasing your upgrade for my vehicle? Thanks in advance...

I think you are getting confused ...
The website is an exchange service ... It's a direct like for like swap .
The D4 module is not offered as an exchange
I will email you G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Hi, looking at fittig bluethooth to my 06 d3 hse.
I have sav nat, voice command (steering wheel buttons on left) hk logic 7 indash cd radio.
From what i have read.
I need MOST cable, D4 bluethooth box, plus power to the box. Then find someone in New Zealand pref Auckland with a faultmate? or failing the faultmate does anyone know if the autologic can perform the task, a nearby mechanic has one.
If i can't get the faultmate/autologic, can i use the wiring that comes with the phone kit an buy a d3 upgrade bluetooth module from somewhere? once connected via wires will i still need a faultmate / autologic.
Bit stuck in this part of the world -
thanks
Stu

You will also need the phone steering wheel buttons ( on right hand side )
Auto logic can enable it ( as long as there up to date with there subscriptions )
You can use the aftermarket phone wiring kit ... But you would the appropriate Bluetooth module ( which LR discontinued 2 years ago ) ....personally I wouldn't bother ... Go for the retro fit G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
