What did they do ?
You were spot on. Bluetooth turned off. Finally got Faultmate working, found the setting & turned it on. Now all working
Now the next question. I'm assuming that this is the first generation Nokia BT module. Can I upgrade this to the lastest nokia/landrover software using Faultmate? Is it worth doing?
Once again thanks for your help.
Regards Chris

Hi, I've know got the info from Faultmate re the bluetooth module. The software version is stated as "NNV507240". From the Blackbox website this appears to be the lastest. Can anyone confirm?
Regards Chris

Hi, thanks for your very swift reply. Actually it is in a 2006 Rangerover. It is the Nokia XVJ500410/420 module. The bluetooth is a bit basic. I'm just seeing what I can get out of this module before attempting the upgrade to the later ford module. Regards Chris

You could get it updated to the latest D3 software and it would then work.
D4 module is about £165 or £200 depends on where you go. Bodsys Brake Bible
D4/D3 Remote FBH heat kits
BAS Remaps/ EGR Blank
Transmission Flush
Software updates/enabling
Clock/ SNOTM /3Flash / 4x4Info /BT Update /Service Reset/Error Codes / Gearbox Reset

I have installed the D4 module in my 2005 HSE and it all works well, but i only get the phone directory displayed on the radio LCD, not up in the dashboard which i think should be possible. Do i need to update something to get this to work?
It's a bit hard sometimes to scroll to the right contact using the wheel buttons or dial on the radio, it seems to skip entries and all of a sudden it begins at the top again. I have an iPhone 3Gs, is this normal? Mods so far:
D4 Bluetooth module + mic + sterring wheel controls
ACM
BAS remap
Roof mount DVD
4x4 info activated

LCD display... Either
With no phone related stuff in radio ( ie radio station / cd on display ) pull the green button once then use bottom buttons on the steering wheel ( right hand side below volume )
With phone / bluetooth displayed on radio .. Just use the bottom buttons without pulling the green button.
To scroll to a name ... Press the corresponding letter on the number pad on the radio ... G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
