Wiggs
Seems like you are much in demand. I would like to add to your workload
Tried pm'ing you, but I am such a lowlife on this forum I don't yet qualify to send pm's. I guess this counts as a credit, but perhaps you could pm me! Or reply - one more post and I'll be deemed worthy!
Many thanks!

Hi Wiggs
Sorry for lack of clarity - definitely interested in upgrading BT (upgraded D3 module?) - I will go by your recommendation. But further browsing revealed additional features might be enabled (e.g. 4x4 info screen, extended voice control etc). Do you also offer engine re-maps?
Thanks again

Wiggs,
I have been referred from the RRS site to you. I have a RRS 2006 which does not have a bluetooth PTI module fitted. I have purchased the bluetooth kit minus the module and needed to know if I can get a D4 module for my RRS to complete the kit.
Can't PM you as a noobie on this site so could you please send me the details.
Many thanks

do you have a part number of the kit ? ....landrover only do an aftermarket kit ( although you can fit the factory option) so i suspect you have purchased this . The d4 modules wont fit . In fact you cant get the modules for the aftermarket kit any more . G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Wiggs,
It is the Land rover telephone kit:
The part numbers are: XPD500510WVH for the steering buttons
YMQ501330 Microphone link lead
XVD500020 for a box
Cables-YMQ501230
What do you think?
Thanks again.

Oh Deep Joy!
No option but a parrot kit I guess. Don't like the look of them though.
Thanks Wiggs.

you can still fit the factory kit ...you would need
bluetooth module
steering wheel switch ( phone ) ...you can use the ones out of the kit
steering wheel switch ( voice )
mic ...if its the later one you have ..you can use that
bit of MOST (fibre optic ) cable ...i can supply them
a power and ground supply .
The kit usually needs enabling in the car config file ...but i have sent one out recently and its worked with no enablement
this would give you full factory PTI ..with the exception of the cradle ( LR dont support any new phones for these anyway ) G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Wiggs,
That sounds good enough. Could you pm me an estimate of the bits in the kit that I need and whether I can DIY it or need a professional install?
Many thanks.

...And finally MY BLUETOOTH WORKS WITH MY HTC DESIRE. Someone at o2 nearly got this phone shoved where the sun don’t shine, but ,no surprise, one swift visit from Mr wiggs & all’s sorted, his reputation on here is well deserved... Top geezer.
I had to rip out the old aftermarket Landy kit before installing Wiggs’ MOST cable & D4 Module and it almost worked at that, but didn’t connect properly, even though when it finally connected it worked, when interrogated by Wiggs, the motor didn’t know it had the phone system at all, A click of the fault mate switch, and all’s good. It auto connects & scrolls the contacts on the radio screen & dash. Brrrilliant.
Thanks Wiggs great to meet up. Anytime your passing drop in
Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.
...or, we could remove the safety labels of everything and let the problem sort its self out...
