Yes yours was strange as to why it tryed to connect without it being enabled in the CCF file .
Normally you wouldn't even be able to find the module until i tick a few boxes in the CCF file .
Glad its all sorted now any way G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

same as previous post
you can still fit the factory kit ...you would need
bluetooth module (d3 )
steering wheel switch ( phone )
steering wheel switch ( voice )
microphone
bit of MOST (fibre optic ) cable ...i can supply them
a power and ground supply .
The kit needs enabling in the car config file ...i can do this
this would give you full factory PTI ..with the exception of the cradle ( LR dont support any new phones for these anyway )
The D4 module does not hold any voice commands ...so if you used the d4 module you would have no voice control ...the mic still works but you would have to dial from the radio keypad / scroll through the names on the radio and dial from there ...or the phone its self .
A d3 bluetooth module does have the voice stored in the module , so that would work ok G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Hello Wiggs,
Good evening everyone.
Realize I am intruding over here as an RRS owner, long time member on the RRS section.co.uk and Rangerovers.net as well.
I was referred here by our US RR.net moderator Umberto who provided a link to this thread, and indicates you have a solution to the vexing problem of the older LR's not being able to see the phone book on the screen.
I understand that the LR4 bluetooth module is apparently backwardly compatible with the 2006 RRS HSE that I have...which has bluetooth, but doesn't have the phonebook display capability. I'm interested in purchasing one of these that you have for sale...could you describe the particulars on pricing, swap of core module etc.? and any modification I would have to make on the connector (or is that already done in your items for sale)?
Many thanks in advance,
Paul (Houston, Texas)
