Big thanks for the bible, Bodsy
Made changing the front pads and sensor so much quicker than having to figure it out myself, and saved me a fortune at the stealers.
Was a bit shocked that they had worn right down in just 20k miles. But it is an automatic and we do tow a twin axle caravan so I guess both those won't help.
But once again I found myself thinking how crazy those chaps at LR really are.
Who on earth came up with the idea of hiding the front wear sensor connection behind the inner wheel arch trim? Sheer brilliance. Not. I know it will protect it from the worst of the road spray but what was wrong with the old style wear indicator leads with a short length of cable and plug embedded into the pad? Cost savng no doubt.

I'm getting ready to try this little project myself.
Any additional advice?
Wish me luck!

Great bible Bodsy, gave me the confidence to change my pads. Wanted to go the full hog and do discs too but when the socket split on trying to take off caliper bracket decided to just do pads.
Suggestion for added hint, when undoing T50 screw, to stop disc from spinning drop small spanner or screwdriver in disc vents between caliper bracket.
Trying to decide if I have the balls to get tough socket and try again next weekend.
Thanks again, you are clearly a legend in these parts.

I recently changed the discs and pads front and rear then cleaned out and reset the park brake mechanism. All I can say is keep Bodsys excellent bible next to you (after giving it a good rear beforehand!) and you won't go wrong!
Another Thank You to Bodsy from a grateful spannerman
