Duncan,

The led can be powered from the oval timer ...

There are 4 connections ..+ VE , - VE in ....and W-BUS and 12V +VE out ...you connect to the 12v +VE output ..this is only live when the oval timer is active Thumbs Up

Just to double-check - is this setup able to override the switching off of the FBH as soon as the car "wakes-up"?
The reason why I am asking - I had an "extension set" built in by local webasto dealer which uses T91 and some piping - it blows warm air into cabin. However - as soon as the car is opened (waken up) the FBH stops. I hate this behaviour because it is not as promissed - full functionlity means that I can heat the cabin while sitting or sleeping in the car, without having the engine ON etc. - which is not the what it is actually doing.

If the FBH is disconnected altogether, and then connected just to run off the timer / remote. I realise it wouldnt work automatically controlled by the car, but could it then be controlled manually when the car is running.

Have you tried this? Isn't it then creating error codes in the other car ECUs?

I have not tryed it myself ...

I realy cant see the point though ...if you have started it up with a timer /remote its proberly gonna be up to temp anyway ...why run it manually and waste more fuel?

Sometimes when I remote my webasto and leave it on for say 10 mins and its not up to temp ..when i start the car the webasto will fire back up anyway ( if lower than 5 degrees etc )

If that makes sence

Thanks for the info.

See the picture - 30 minutes of running the FBH with mild blower inside the cabin and it was -3 degrees outside - do you think it is sufficient???

I have been thinking about this, but not sure about fitting it. It would be nice coming off a nightshift into a car that is heated quickly. Using GSM would not help as I cannot take my phone into the factory, so I would have to rely on the shift apprentice to be sent out in the snowdrifts to warm my car for me.

Just picking up on a point mentioned about an LR kit. Is this a box of goodies that I could speak to Nick about, get delivered, open, read usual LR instructions and fit??

Depends what the temp was inside Laughing

If you do want to sleep in your car ..then maybee you should try what Duncan suggested ...

However ...i dont know if i would want to sleep in a car with a mini furnace unde the bonnet . There must be a reason it only runs for 30 mins !!! (apart from fuel consumption)
