I have the LR/Webasto original notes for the timer kit, will post a copy shortly (once I've found it)LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
That last point is an interesting one, as the fbh continues to run a purge cycleafter you turn off the engine, so you could well have it running while you fill up. IIRC, DG had this happen and the bloke in the filling station ran out and told him his car was on fire?I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

My question must have been lost in my drivel in the last post.
Is there a pukka LR kit that you can buy, open box, all bits there inc. instructions and fit??
It was only on early D3's Pete and was removed by the 'Enhancement Program' updates, if you've still got it you can get it to operate using the 'radio trick' (search the site) but it also means your software is very out of date, though as you've got IDS presumably that's not too much of an issue for you The End

Thanks, yes when i got the 2 D3's i updated one of them with ids and left the other and as you say one has got the feature and one not
Ill search for the Enhancement Program to see if i can add anything to the new software version and also try and locate the radio trick you mention.
I can think of quite a few people who'd be interested if you can re-write the IDS so that this "feature" re-appears in the menu LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Just a little tip - The guide says that if you use your central locking then the FBH will be interrupted. This is almost right; if you program your fob's third button to open the tailgate, you can open and load the boot space and shut it all up again whilst leaving the heater still running. Remember to just close the tailgate and not lock the car again with the fob though...Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?

Thanks m8
IF it is intrupted with the central locking does the heater restart when you drive the car or lock it again or does it need a reset ?
