Neutral sorry to bring up a basic question , but im struggling with the actual cabling to use , to make sure I have the correct gauge and spec wiring . I bought 4 core signal wire from maplin and a few other smaller gauge wires that appear to be the correct spec for soldering onto the oval timer but , im not entirely sure , from wigs pics it looks like the cables for pos /neg are quite thick copper almost look like mains lighting cables

any help to confirm what I need to or should use where cabling wise would be a massive help and stop a lot of guessing and searching / worrying Big Cry Thumbs Up

also ideally I want an led in the interior ambient sensor grill that flack and others have done and also an external led somewhere to indicate its on and or running ,how would I best go about this? would it be wrong to simply join two 12v leds together of same signal and feed to both locations? Whistle

The LED feed wires will come off your timer output, which from memory I think is terminal 1 on your 1533 timer. LED's have very little draw so you don't need anything other than thin wires for this application.
For the rest of the wiring to the timer and to the FBH, take a look at the cabling that is currently on the multiplugs on the FBH. Cables of a similar thickness will be more than adequate. Wink

If you still have doubt, bigger is better, but you don't have to go daft, there is minimal current passing to and from the timer. Wink

Bow down thanks narpy! That s what I was thinking interested of cables and have based my shopping list on similar gauge cables to ones fitted already Thumbs Up thanks for clearing my mind.

Although I thought that from what I've picked up, the feed for leds should be connected to the pump feed wire from fbh connection? And I think there was two options depending on which pump feed you use, one would show a constant led all the time I think and one just lights to show it's received the signal? I may be way off though

Do you think it's ok to pair up a couple of leds from the same feed to two locations?

I came across your land rover glow badge thingy and look to do that in the future Bow down

You'll be fine wiring a couple of LED's, to different locations, from the same power source i.e. the back of the 1533 timer. Wink

I'm not sure regarding the locations of the power for LED's as an indicator to show the FBH is running separately from the timer mod but I think you're right, one signal is pulsed at the FBH and the other is constant but I've never bothered doing that myself so can't advise. Thumbs Up
