been thinking about this , alway better after a cuppa
have established the d3 had been side swiped causing the curtain airbags to go off
so know it's on the right hand side
have found 3 x impact sensors, rear behind boot cubby box
on the B pillar and one on the front in engine bay
wondering if the clock spring could be at fault
damage was done to the drivers side middle row door
thinking in how i can test the wiring loom
sorry am gassing, just really scratching my head with this
thks

I would try :
Going into the IID via the service menu. Are there any airbag options in there to reset?
You could be right about needing a steering wheel airbag.
Remove it. See what the rear looks like, see if it's plugged in.
Test the clock spring
or do they have airbags in the side of the seat ?

hi pete
must admit is driving me nuts , but determined in it not beating me , lol
only found the service reset on the iid
it's being able to pin point the issue
am wondering ref the impact sensors , on reading further i see there's also an impact sensor in the front door behind the panels,
will remove the door panel to check that , alas i know the drivers door speaker doesn't work
on testing other impact sensor , they are an open circuit
like everything it's the case of pinning it down , which of course i'm finding very frustrating
with the mot some 12 x weeks away am getting more and more worried that i will be unable to find the fault in time
have indeed had the steering wheel airbag off when i fitted the cruise control switch, looked fine
alas though will have to read up in how to test the clock spring
am really grateful for the help, this is driving me nuts but know it won't beat me

Should be checking all airbags on the drivers side.
Search this forum for that code.

Hi Gary
Can't help with your air bag issue I'm afraid. However I would suggest that as you have a sunroof, you change the drain hoses whilst you have the A pillar trims and headliner out. Unless you have already done them.

Don't appear to be any airbags in the seats, just the belt tensioners.
So I would get your interior back together and then focus on the steering wheel and clock spring

when i converted my seats from manual to electric i had all the covers and seat airbag out
from what i can see visually it looked ok, with it being closed but of course can't know 100% that's it's ok
have got a spare one so thinking of just plugging that in to test it
