hi pete
i knew u would be beside yourself with worry and wouldnt be able to sleep in not knowing that fact ,
as a side note, got a few marks on the side panels, wondering if maybe using fairy liquid and a soft brush would be the best way to remove the marks
or having to get a special cleaner
it's where someone in the past has put there dirty hands on the panel, it's the A and B panels that has like a soft covering on them

Gaz be very careful cleaning the soft covering, its flocking and doesn't like getting wet.
I tried to clean it when I had a project Range Rover P38 and ended up stripping the flocking completely off.

hi sea raider
thks
that's what i was worried about , haven't touched them as i always prefer to ask first
it's only a few marks but just annoys me, as once i've finished and start putting the panels back it would be nice that they are all nice and clean
don't see any point buying new panels as they could come marked as well
have ordered all new clips , also found the alarm sensor in the headlining all loose, fixed that back in properly today , so hopefully that may cure the occasional reason why the alarm kept going off,
currently got the headlining on the stairs , restuck some of the wiring loom back on
next step will be to hoover everything out whilst the panels are out
then onto the dreaded air bags

quick update
spent some time getting the new curtain airbags in , all done
now got the passenger seat to refit , as i've upgraded that to electric and last piece of the puzzle regarding the srs system
fingers crossed once that's installed the airbag light will finally go out, will be fantastic after all the work i've done
but think it's well worth it
will then be the case of reinstalling the headlining

Great job indeed, but let me ask you a non-malicious question, why have you decided to replace your curtain airbags?
Thank youlost in translation!

thks ,
has been a large learning curve for me since owning the D3 , seeing its more complicated than previous landys i've had
even though owning it for 6 x months it still puts a big grin on my face
can't get over how quiet and nice it is down the motorway
