Hate to tell you but it’s going to be 33c here today, and gorgeous wall to wall blue sky. It was lovely last week in Vienna, even nicer this week in Budapest.
View from breakie table just now. Mrs DSL wanted the pole out the way but then the trams wouldn’t work.
Swinton, as we leave, is bright and sunny and supposed to be 25+ degrees for a couple of days..

I need them on side at the moment because we're close to the end of the issue, but as soon as it's over I'm going all in!
Agree with you re thieves in suits. It's absolutely iniquitous and shameful how they behave. The system is screwed to protect and look after those that have money. I'm lucky, but others less fortunate would have been absolutely shafted by the system in the situation I'm dealing with. It also sucks you dry mentally!New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

Hardware - me too. Leaving for Devon in the morning. Forecast here is full sun all day, driving into heavy rain on the way down. Should make for interesting pitching of the van on the field, which by the way is all grass no hard standing even in the gateway. Forever the optimist though, still looking forward to the break.
The number of times we’ve said let’s just go it can’t be as bad as they are forecasting - and it is.
Don’t you just love this country, why do they all want to come here?Currently 2015 D4 SE Tech, Corris Grey

Yep, The Weather.
As much as I enjoy it I don’t want to be holed up in my workshop this time of year.
I’ve got Motorcycles to ride, boats to use, plus boats to fix that won’t fit in the workshop, walks to do with the dog, beaches to sit and brew up on, and loads to do in the garden.
I know I could do all of these in the rain, but none are as much fun, and involve far more preparation and remedial work after.
I don’t work on Fridays anymore, and Lady Nasher has gone back to school this week.
I’ve really enjoyed trying different places for lunch every Friday for 8 weeks, and spending more time together, but tomorrow is my first Friday to myself after the summer break and I was hoping to do at least one of the list I mentioned above.
Added to this I’ve got two of my favourite shows coming up, The Netley Marsh Motorcycle Eurojumble next Friday, and the Southampton Boat show the following week, both of which are predominately outdoors.
Don’t even ask about my usual several trips a year to Santa Pod, I’ve not been once this year as it really isn’t worth the drive to watch them dry the track for 3hrs before abandoning racing for the day.
I’m still wearing shorts every day when not riding, even in the office, but am wondering how long I’ll get away with it this year.
The office tolerate it when the weather is warmer, but there are fewer and fewer of us pushing our luck with the weather the way it is.
I suppose I’ll be starting one or two of my winter motorcycle related projects tomorrow instead of being outside.
Thanks all, I feel better for that.
.Heaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over.

if they applied the same criteria up here we'd have severe weather warnings everyday...down to 3C overnight next week so probably the first snow on the hills I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!
