Put a new battery in it.
Original was only 11 1/2 yrs old, so usual poor quality by Land Rover RRS HSE 2012 Stage 1 remap, timed heater General Grabbers
Blue D3 with winter pack, xenon lights, Geoff's engine performance upgrade, egr's blanked, mega flushed gearbox, 3 new wishbones, RLD sump guard, V8 brakes front and rear, General Grabbers. Rock/tree sliders. Now gone

Fitted 2 new lower tailgate cable stays as the old ones had both kinked and the nearside one was fraying. Only took 15 minutes

Changed all the oils - Engine, Diffs & Transfer Box. Needed a bit of help from CUCO on the fuel filter but all done and dusted now.

Not today but at the weekend I fitted the FBH remote and the Altox unit, took the cargo divider from the D3 and fitted into the 4, just need to swap the LED reverse lights and the interior LEDS.
Also need to get a sim for the Altox,

New tailgate switch, actuator and latch.
Had been becoming intermittent in opening and the actuator was very quiet and often failed to fully release the latch. Switch also had the internal corrosion.
So I changed the lot.
Now opens with a satisfying clunk.
The new actuator was a new Landrover part (as was the latch assy) but was made in June 2009 according to the date code on the plastic cover. So been sitting around for nearly 8 years in stock, either at dealers or LR parts warehouse. So someones got poor stock control.
