New front lower arms, drop links and track-rod-end, and new rear pads. (by DM)
Then an interesting drive for a wheel alignment.
Now drives great and no more knocking noises or steering vibration under braking.

The drive to get the alignment done wasn't too bad. Only a few miles in town.
Steering wheel was at 3 o'clock when going straight and suspension was down at access level, or less and some orange warning lights on the dash.
I wouldn't have fancied going any distance in it like that, so just as well KwikFit weren't too far away.

I'm having upper and lower arms and new ARBs then have to drive about 15 miles to my local garage to get the alignment done! So that should be fun!

What I did to my discovery is I took it out and drove it.
I know that's nothing special and most people do it on a daily basis. I do feel it's wrong to have to look on the calendar to see when it was out last because I can't remember, I was equally shocked to see it was January the 7th.
The thing I do find driving it so little is it gives me that new car excitement when I get it out and it will be getting a very good airing over the next 4 months and I am looking forward to giving it a blast up and down the country especially as it goes so well after bodsy blanked the egr and tuned it, I find it averaging 30 mpg and sometimes 34 an added bonus.
