Hi Faulksy, I sent it to ECUTESTING.
Although they say they have a short turnaround you will be without your car for about 8 days, total cost was just under £320 all in, you remove and replace yourself.
There is a work around according to internet searches which involves a little "MacGyvering" to negate either the solenoid which operates the rise or the solenoid which allows the selector to rotate.
Pete.

Hello all,
Friday I checked the car after all the rain and sadly the passenger well was wet again! I'm confident the pipe has become disconnected from the new elbow (fitted the other week) as I have only done about 1 mile since then and there is no stress on the hose. I also use a cable tie as a double check. So I a bit of research later and I came across the external A pillar water leak so I fixed that on both sides yesterday.
Today I had my second 5 hour battle working on the jammed EPB and to my surprise it is all fixed now. Screw number 8 came away without any fight and the lid came off ok. The unjamming needed a big hammer and away I went.
Took the car off the axle stands and notice more water in the passenger side and its been dry all day!! The rear was dry so perhaps it was all in the almost 2" thick wiring loom and it tracked along that when I had the rear of the car jacked up? Secret under floor water storage for the desert? .
Next week is new front discs and pads (perhaps even the larger ones) and then MOT time

Hi, well it was actually yesterday... gave it a good slap on the steering wheel and a good telling off for preventing me select reverse (manual) in the carp park of "The Range" !!! Luckily I parked in a different spot to usual so by driving across a bank I managed to head home. It did mean that I got the drivers side wheels in the mud after owning it for about 10 weeks Hopefully it's just the circlip which is on order.

Just collected it from the main dealer after having front and rear timing belt replaced.
So now the 84 month service is complete, 10 months after it was started.
Still hurts but £628 was better than I expected.A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an is still an EV. Strictly speaking its SWMBO.

Hey Hairyfool, glad to see the motor finally done was the £628 a typo?? Been putting mine off so I can save, been looking at closer to £1000 or more for the belts. What dealer did you use?2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

Lets just say the price was as per an instruction from LR (and is correct). I created a stink with Mr. Mardell's office that a dealer (a different one) could put on the service record that a service had been done despite a fundamental part of it wasn't actually carried out. Unless we can actually depend on the quality of the work recorded being accurate the service history is valueless.
The fact that I went to the top helped but that is LR Customer Services fault. The LR web site only gives TwitFaceSnapInstaX options and I don't do Soshall Meeeja. The CEO email address was the only one I could find on line that worked and had the desired result.
On top of that I was given a bit of a run around by Lookers booking and telephone system and asked to "discuss" it with the Service Manager which was fruitful.
I.e. when you have a problem avoid talking to the monkey.
And yes, I was getting quotes north of £1kA visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an is still an EV. Strictly speaking its SWMBO.

Hi, yesterday afternoon replaced the detent circlip. Didn't get delivered until lunchtime (should have been Thursday!) so of course started raining so got soaked ! Smaller hands would have helped. Today I tackled opening the upper tailgate. Wire had broken before and bodged by a previous owner so all replaced. Tested before closing and working fine. Closed the tailgate and now the lower won't open on the button😡 not looking at today.

Hello,
This weekend, between the rain, I fitted upgraded front discs and with new pads so all brakes are now new.
I had the water in fuel alert so changed the fuel filter and sensor only to find that the one on the car had no sensor! I plugged the new one in and the error is still there
Also did my third fix on the leaking roof, the down tube was blocked! I only changed the rubber elbow. So I hope that has finally sorted it, luckily (!) this weeks rain should check it out.
Finished the Land Rover Passion upper tail gate release mod and put the trim all back in so MOT this Friday

Fair few in East Anglia do, share it with a couple of mates and we have put the effort in to make it work for us, like painting the wall and floor
