Gave mine an effortless run up the A1 to Lincoln, to pick up my lad and all his finished with uni belongings etc, and then straight back home. Stepped out of it as if I'd only done a tenth of that mileage Just the daughter that will need similar in a few weeks time, then I won't need the D3 anymore, but I'll be hanging on to it for a good while yet. @Alan B, yes those bl**dy flies are a PITA to remove.

Shook my fist fruitlessly at the sky and cursed the @*#€ who keyed my bonnet last night. Anyone recommend a scratch repair specialist?

Replace the detent circlip in the gearbox. The old clip wasn't damaged but at least I know it's been done. I also drained the front diff oil, replacing it with 700ml of 85w140. This is to try and get a bit more life out of the bearings. The oil that came out wasn't to metal filled but it's only been in for 5 K miles.
After this I had a hell of a job to bleed the clutch. I stripped the master cylinder for a good clean, it was full of goo. Back bleeding did the trick, thanks DM
