After finding the potential source of the old girls vacuum leak at the weekend with a home-made smoke machine, smoke pouring out the side of the dipstick tube, the bracket had broken off leaving a hole in the side, I fitted a new dipstick tube. Considering its one nut and pull it out , harder job than I anticipated.==================================

Fitted my new rear wheel winch and finally, the RLD spare protector that's been I the garage for a few months.
Did the twin brake lights mod today, with a slight twist - I wanted to retain the light differential when the tail lights were on so I ran cables in through the grommets and fitted a pair of 5-pin relays (acting as NC relays) to switch the additional light off when the tails are on. Looks much better in daylight now.
This also has the advantage that the lower ones don't operate with the fogs (which falls foul of the lighting regulations due to distance). I don't know if this would be enough to officially pass an MOT, but I doubt anyone will ever find out! They can be unplugged in seconds anyway.
NB: Re the relays, to anyone thinking of doing the same, make sure you insulate the 5th, unused pin to prevent the chance of shorting against the bodywork. Fitted the new under tray that was knackered
And finally got round to fitting the A118 wedge dash cam, easier than I thought, but not hard wired as I'm not electrickery minded enough for that and didn't want to blow anything up
Then gave it a wash

Do you have a part number for the under tray. Mine is also broken on one mount.

Part no KRB500033
Try MMJ I think they had one but I'd already ordered from Dan @ Duckworths
Ask for the bolts and clips as well.
Brand new I was about £66 ish
If only broken on 1 mount it should still be fine.
Or get a penny washer to hold it in placeD3 57 xs Stornaway grey

Removed the number plate light reversing camera I've been using for the last two years and replaced it with a rather nifty little camera under the rear tailgate handle. Had to cut a 20mm hole in the handle but its a really neat job once installed and provides a much sharper picture than the previous camera.
Well impressed. Mods:

Just replaced the front discs and pads this afternoon, uprating them to the v8 ones. Took a little bit longer than 1hr but I did a couple of other little jobs as well. My old brakes were well and truly knackered. Save myself some labour cots too. All is good.

Fitted a TravAll dog guard. Of course, I fitted the 'legs' the wrong way round to begin with . Really impressed with the quality. Was a tight fit to get it in with the load space cover, but it went in in the end. No more Jack Russell jumping over the back seats when we are on the go, and much safer if we are ever unfortunate enough to crash (especially with the kids in). 8)
Got a good deal on 'the bay' for £90 brand new including postage.
