I take it the allen bolt is the one that is used to hold back the sprung pin, so therefore would be needed to retract the pin for removal ? They have said my towbar will be here on Monday so I will let you know what I think of it and also how the fitting goes.

Well done. I think you'll be pleased with it. I've used mine many times now and I'm very pleased with it. It's changed the whole towing experience from my ratttly old LR one. It does look pretty hefty and sturdy on the back there but I was comparing it the other day side by side with a LR heavy duty one, and I'm so glad I didn't go for that one. It hangs so much closer to the ground and looks like it would catch on even the smallest curb, and with Witter saying theirs is even lower, there is no question for me. I got the right one! Yep. It fits on just fine. I must admit I had the same concern, but was relieved when it went on easily! D3 TDV6 HSE 2008 Buckingham Blue (current)

I have the same issue. Looking at the pics in previous posts this looks a very neat setup. But how did you get the 60% discount? Seems a lot of discount. Or have you found another online retailer offering his goods at less than 1/2 that he is selling them for?? HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

When I was researching this problem I spoke to all of the towbar manufacturers who have a disco fitting product, and Tom was the only one who was certain his company could solve my problem. He offered me a good deal, and I assured him that once I posted on here, he would receive more orders from some of the many who have this problem. Looks like so far, I've got him quite a few orders! I fitted the witter fixed bar years ago seeing some of the testing they did and it has the same bolt locking design but is a cast part not fabricated.
I could be wrong but is tow trust a side line of a company that sell other towbars? Towequipe.
They also supply witter but I'm guessing they have bigger margins in their own brand? Maybe

Yep - same price I paid too. Excellent kit. Perfect fit and very solid. As others have said even before fitting the side arms it feels much more secure than the LR removable one. Very well thought out. Even the box it arrived in was well engineered. Rich
