BLU-TOOTH module exchange |
|
Hi Wiggs,
Yes, the contacts display on the screen.
Everything works fine. Its just that I have to re-enter the code, on my Samsung Galaxy 2 every time I get into the car.
Best regards - Brian

Hi BMGRRS,
Firts time I fitted D4 bluetooth module in my D3, a have a little problems with my contacts and pairing with my BB.
I did a hard reset, and until now it works fine.
Have you update your samsung to the lasted software version?

Does D4 BT module solve the auto-pairing issue |
|
Hello Wiggs,
I've lost the bluetooth auto-pairing feature since I'v got the android OS phone. Last time it worked was with the Windows mobile one.
Does the BT4 module solves it? If so, I'm very interested!
The car is Disco3 hse 2006, and planned phone Samsung galaxy s3
I'm sorry if this question was already discussed here, just cannot find it in this moment.
Thanks a lot.

Hi Wiggs
Are you still supplying D4 BT modules? If so, could you advise price and payment details please?
Many thanks.

To support the many questions that seem to be on this thread re Android phones.
I have had my D4 unit since way back in July 2010 (page 4 on this thread ! )
Since then have had all Android OS levels from Froyo (2.2) through to latest ICS ( 4.0.3) all have worked a treat .auto connect , download phonebook etc with no issues
Solved all the problems I was having and has been very stable

2006 Range Rover HSE BT Assistance |
|
Greetings Wiggs,
I joined this site specifically after a recommendation from rangerovers.net and reading through this thread on google.
Here's my situation:
I just purchased a 2006 Range Rover HSE with the factory BT / pti.
It does not have the phone book option and has terrible issues with my iphone 4 with iOS 5.1.
It does pair consistently, BUT it does not work well, sometimes the phone shows connected, but audio only come through the phone, other time the caller cannot hear you AT ALL.
I hear the "D3" sw update that gives you the phone book options also resolves some of these issues. I would like the phone book, but I'm more concerned about reliable hands free audio and pairing. Also I believe the update stops the phone from connecting to the car when it unlocks etc. (waits till the ignition key is turned).
So do I need to exchange my "D3" unit for yours with the new sw, or upgrade to the "d4" unit?
I am too new to pm (i tried) so I am posting this here.
Thanks in advance,
George

Hi
Welcome to the site
while the d3 module will proberly cure your issues ..the D4 module has better features and a more up to date bluetooth protocol ( better for future phones )
will also give you 1000 contacts ( insted of 300 on old module )
show mutiple numbers per name
show signal strenght and service provider
disconnects once the car is switched off ( unless your on a call )
if you can afford the difference i would go D4 module
i will pm you the prices and you can weight it up
G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
