That's the correct option but once you power down and turn the ignition back on it will be gone. This has happened to me and two other people I know. You might be lucky but I think the autologic does not write the config file or checksum correctly.
If luck is not on your side then you need someone with a faultmate.

I have no signal to my screen when installing the MOST wireloom to the screen and D4 BT box, the box isn't programmed yet to the car, is this normal?

well... not shure, struggled a bit to get the right contacts for the module. But the MOST cable doesn't work without power to the BT module as I understand.
I will try later on when I got the GVIF going, that's priority nr 1 for the moment. I will have a talk with Glen in Bergen, he knows for shure how to get things working...www.skienklinikk.no

Wiggs . If your there,please help.
I have a range rover vogue on a 54 plate,it has touch screen nav etc.bt module number xvj500042. My iphone 4 connects with pin 2121.however it drops every call I receive/make and no phone book.
Can you upgrade the software for me? Or will I need a disco 4 bt module? Can you supply modules/wiring etc.

Stuart ... Unfortunatly I cannot program that module ( its the only part number that can't )
Don't have any D4 modules , but look under site sponsers for Yeovil LR and they will sort you outG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Just to let others know, I had my bt software upgraded today,the hands free bt now works,however I have to pair it every time and there is no phone book. Cost £100 and took over an hour.may well get myself a d4 module so I don't go insane pairing every time I get in the car.

Hi again, I took it to my local independant lr man, he uses autologic I believe. He looked on landrover.com where there is a bluetooth connectivity center.you type in your vin and select your phone,it then shows you what will work, in my case it shows it all working. It tells you what software is needed. He has done what the site said,my phone now pairs and works at a basic level but no phone book or auto pairing.it seems wiggs has difficulty upgrading the xvj500042 module as well. I may contact lr,see whats going on,if anyone there even knows!.

Picking some up tommorow , So once I'm sure there the correct parts they will be up for sale
Will be able to supply the module , most cable and power cable as a package or individual items
these modules can be used to upgrade your old one ...or for completely new retrofit of bluetooth
