Hi Wiggs. That cable worked a treat. Many thanks. I bypassed the bluetooth module and the nav screen, radio etc fired straight up. So what should I do regarding a new module. Would a D3 modified or D4 be best. Do let me know.
Thanks again

Message for Wiggs
I have an 05 Discovery 3 SE and was looking to use install bluetooth for an Iphone. It seems to have some wiring already according to what it said after I put the VIN into the Landrover site. It has sat nav and the radio with the numerical keypad.
What parts would I need, do you suply them and would I be able to fit them myself?
Many Thanks

Seen it, but at £499 for the module, it's way cheaper to get Wiggs bt upgrade done for £60!!
Even the bits for fit the factory BT units will come to less than that including installation!
I don't pick up the Disco until Friday but it currently has no bluetooth so need to add something. So the original factory fit would be less than £500.... interesting, would that be the latest bluetooth i.e. work with iPhone etc?

Wiggs,
Do you know where the bluetooth module in my 2006 Range Rover Sport is? Please if you have photos etc.
Thank you

Unfortunately I have no pictures, but is quite easy to find.
In the boot, right side panel, you have a small removable plastic panel, the bluetooth module is behind it.
If you remove it you will be able to see it, you can actually even try to replace it through that small panel, even if removing the side would make it easier.

think it's held on by a Torx20 bit, but a flat blade will work also. I've removed them thsi way easily enoiugh without removing anything other than the access panel. Bodsys Brake Bible

Flydive,
Are you sure? I check the back inside on both side and did not see any access panel. Do I have to remove the entire panel to get to it. Please note I am referring to a 2006 Range Rover Sport.
Thank you

I checked it twice. My RRS DO NOT HAVE THAT ACCESS PANEL. I checked it twice. I banged on the side to see if it's hidden. Nothing. Help!
Thank you.

I thought all RRS had it, my 2008.5 has it and so did my previous 2006.
Anyway your only option in this case is to pull back the whole side panel.
Not difficult, if I remember correctly there are no screw holding it, just sit in the boot and pull it towards you. Be careful not to break the tabs, better do it when the plastic is not cold and brittle.
You probably do not need to remove it completely.
The picture posted by Wiggs give you a general idea where the module is located.

Thanks Wiggs for your help over on FFRR. I thought that I had found a D4 module at brit-part but it turns out that there is no stock. I'm tempted to pick up a faultmate so that I can play with the electronics myself.
