Dear Wiggs i have another problem.
i finished install everything, i activate bluetooth and microphone.
Bluetooth works perfect, i can pairing my phone but the microphone don't works.
I used the original connector for the microphone hidden on the sky near the light.
I read that the problem could be a cable from radio unit.
What you think could be ? how i can solve it ? there is a guide to rewire the cable ?
thanks to all. Discovery 3 2.7 TD HSE

New wire in, feed it down from the mic town the spill at (remove airbag plastic sign) undo torx30 screw and the pillar comes off.
Feed it down and then back up to the back of the radio pins 2 and 4 on the smaller radio connector should do the trick. Cut off the mic connector at the top and solder together. Same at the back of the radio, make sure you leave enough wire to connect to! Bodsys Brake Bible

I am to replace my D3 BT module (original) with 1 D4 BT unit.
Never had any problems with handsfree, mic and my iPhone 4s. Getting worried that by replacing i will lose my mic connection. And have a rewire problem that i will avoid.
Do I have to worry????

Hi,
Bit confused about module suitability for exchange. The website states which D3 module based on the pin number (1212) as std fit not dealer fit but my MY05 does not need a pin at all! I am guessing it is too early a module to exchange?

The code is 2121, if you tell your phone to forget the pairing, then re-pair with it, you will find out if it's 2121 or 0000 Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks for everyone's contribution on here. I was able to get a D4 module and some odds and ends MOST cable. As the car already had Voice Control and the LR non-factory kit fitted it was a bit easier. The module now resides where the old kit's control unit was on the left hand side.
I was able to add an additional MOST loop between the touch screen and the radio by removing the short link piece and replacing it with two longer pieces that terminated in a connector.
Removing the old loom took almost half a day.
So far everything works although I missed changing from Denso to LR mode. I have downloaded the update from Genesis and shall upload that later.

Hi I need another mind on this for conformation.
D3 2005 aftermarket kit.
I got a upgrade module off a 2011 car which had been tested before removal.
As I wanted to test it before removing the old setup I extended the MOST bus and added power to the new module. After updating the CCF with a Nanocom Evo and checked against this thread I can see phone symbol on the radio if I press the phone button but it says no network! As I have FfRR screen it also shows this here as well.
I can check the call history but it is empty.
MOST is fine as all works and the hidden menu MOST test shows no errors.
Problem is that I cannot see any Bluetooth signal on any phone or a laptop except the old module signal.
What I want to do is prove the car or module is faulty? So is it likely that the existance of the old module is stopping the new one somehow or is the new one faulty?
I have tried the module out of the car with a MOST loop cable and power but no signal, should it put out a signal when just powered up like this?
I really dont want to strip the centre console out if the new unit is US! I have tried to pull out the old module from under the centre console as per another thread here but the cable is not long enough!
My thoughts are the module is faulty and it can go to be tested but it will take a couple of weeks.
Any ideas?
Cheers,

Blimey that was quick!
Ok not too bad as I pulled the radio etc to see How it was cabled so I know how to disconnect the car end.
I guess that in trying to test early due to caution I did not go far enough?

Hello (actually, possibly that should be 'hello Geoff' as I, too, am in West Kent, so you are possibly the nearest place to seek help),
I have a 55 reg Discovery 3 and my old phone worked perfectly well with the bluetooth connection in the car.
I recently changed my phone (to a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge in case it's relevant) and again it worked perfectly well. However, my first S7 edge developed a fault and had to be returned, so has been replaced by a new phone. But although this second S7 edge pairs with the car ok, the 2121 code isn't retained so I have to re-enter it each time I want to connect the phone with my car.
I've looked up the problem on the Samsung website and their advice is that, having checked a few things on the phone (all to no avail), I should next look at the car's bluetooth to see if there are known problems and/or upgrades available - and reading the posts on here it would appear there could be.
Is this a problem that might be solved by the bluetooth module fix that's been mentioned here?
If so, Geoff, how do I contact you to find out prices, where and when, etc.
Thanks.

(As I saw someone else do this, presumably this will make the three messages required before sending private posts!)
