Bit of good news and bad news.

Good news, on this bad boy for a while to the next destination.

Bad new is it’s gone from a 7 hour haul to a 9 hour crawl. And the on-board food is rubbish cf the Austrian offerings.

And greetings from Berlin.

Loooooooong train ride, didn’t help that they added 2 hours to the journey by routing us onto a freight line. Speculated that they were doing some maintenance, limited capacity so we were bumped on to the slow route. Luckily that’s the really long train rides over for the jolly. Tucked up nicely in a hotel looking over the zoo, will explore locally tomorrow.

Visited Colditz on an off-roading jolly to Poland with angelfire in 2015. Great trip and place to visit.

Berlin is one city I've not been to, although my grandfather used to go on a regular basis, never used to stop there for long... but it was 1942 and he was in a Lancaster

Reminds me of an old joke but instead of Berlin it was Frankfurt Airport ground control.

Just a typical tourist day today, 3 1/2 hour boat trip down the Spree river and up a canal back to Charlottenburg.

Bit of a sieving and this would sell for a pretty penny.

Went to the Berlin Memorial, thought it would be just a few peeps of Cold War age reminiscing but surprised how many peeps were there of all ages.

More of the Trabants. There is a yellow one in that smoke. ISTR you had to have a certain standard of Euro emissions to go into Berlin, and a green dot sticker, somehow don’t think they got the memo.
