Just a quick update from me on this. I've found if I press 'off' before pressing 'on' every time, it seems to work without error, but fingers are still crossed
I've so far switched it off manually before starting the car.

I totally agree, I turn mine off as I get into the car, if you don't then after driving, once the car starts to cool down, the FBH will kick in again and stay on until it is either up to temperature, or it is turned off, it is a shame it doesn't haven't a timer built in for 20 to 30 minutes, but at the price it is brilliant.
I use it more to ease the strain on the engine in the winter because I do short trips, but I have to admit it is nice to get into the car and after starting the engine and have the heater fans come on straight away leading to a have a warm car 1/2 a mile down the road.
All in all an excellent and easy thing to fit.David

Have orderd a spare remote the ones I bought in for my build cant be cloned so I will use them and the receiver for another project.
Got mine at the original £55 so another £3:80 for a spare remote is still a bargin.

Just a heads up for anyone planning to buy one of these 'romainian' modules. Eventhough they state 10 day delivery they are currently allowing up to one month for delivery, which means you cannot start an official complaint with eBay/PayPal about it being lost until that time.
Mine apparently left the country on the 23rd of last month and still haven't seen it yet.

Quick update, mine is still functional and behaving. Still not sure I'd be paying the current price though!

Luckily I managed to get mine at £60+ postage before the price went up. I was tempted by the one from lr-fbh but again £125 was a bit steep.
I will get around to building my own at some point, would like to integrate it into the car a little and maybe have it turn the fans and heated windows on in the car etc. Also intending to power it from the aux battery when I get the split charge installed as to save the starter battery when using it as a parking heater.
The cheaper £40 push button modules maybe usable with the usual headlight splice trick, depends on whether they detect the ign live and turn off when you actually start the car or not, and if they need a pulse or a constant signal. Or even just a weather proof switch installed in the passenger wheel well.

If you like wiring 3 things together you have a kit,
Hopefully you can see where the wires go.
+12v battery in on the thick red wire
Ground on the thick blue wire in this picture
Green to the heater

Pete K, thanks for that, I have ordered a timer, and will see if I can add it to my remote FBH controller as for me a timer is the only thing missing. David
