In anticipation of receiving my new unit, is there any information about my current setup that would be useful to record (such as Hardware/firmware versions etc) that may or may not be available to me after the upgrade via secret menu's etc?
If so, does anyone know what info I would need and how I get to it?2015 Discovery 4 HSE

There’s no need to worry about any of that.Everything you do during the installation is easily reversible.
I am not sure about the secret menu, I have never tried it since I fitted mine,
I have fitted two units from Yanav and both have been excellent apart from the fact that they don’t have a radio tuner chip despite what they say in the advertising. It’s not a problem because you can’t beat the original radio and I have been adding a dab + dongle which works well.
The most common things to look out for after installation are problems with no sound and reverse camera misbehaving, these issues can be sorted by selecting different options in settings.Don’t mix up the Wi-Fi and satellite antennas. I would also advise changing the settings of CarPlay to manual, otherwise it starts up every time you switch on. I can’t imagine my car now without the upgrade,it’s been more than a year and I am still loving it.CarPlay,Waze,Spotify, having my texts read to me,Alexa playing anything I ask,all that and much more in a ten year old car. What’s not to love.

I received mine from Yanav - PX6 4/64GB worked out at £550 delivered.
Had a big problem with the sound not working at all but traced it to a bent pin in one of the connectors - all sorted now.
Some queries though - when I open the Drivers door the passenger side is shown on the display (and vice versa) The rear doors are correct. I have set the Driver to be on the Right (UK) but it does not want to change - any ideas ?
Also setting the steering wheel actions does not seem to work - I’m in the setting menu and click on the button and it says long press the steering wheel button but it has no effect.
Likely to be some more queries as I get familiar with it D1 3Door (White) Long gone

Hi,for the doors go to installer settings,,666888ok and select “right side on”,save and reboot,or you can disable it.
As for the steering wheel controls,if you want to change things you should select Learn mode.
Experiment slowly and note all original and changes so you can reverse them

Two more queries - sorry
Which is the DAB antenna connector - tried both on the back of the DVD player and the head unit with a FAKRA splitter from Amazon but Dongle is not picking up any stations (it does with a DAB antenna) and DAB on the Disco works with them disconnected
How do you put the Steering Wheels into LEARN Mode ? Pic attached of menu but they don’t highlight if I select them (Sorry for the poor quality)

I have my eye on this one. I didn't like the fascia on the other versions of the tesla screen but the volumn knob etc makes it look much more integrated i thought

Sorry, I can’t remember which connector is the dab, I did it by trial and error until I got signal.
For the steering wheel controls, see this photo.

I agree it looks good, you want to make sure it retains the original Land Rover information system.
Some if not all of this type are a full replacement for the entire head unit and were meant for vehicles without original infotainment units. I have been trying to get information from suppliers, but they give conflicting answers.

Andy,
Thanks for the assistance.
What year is yours ?
I have a 2012MY with Dial Selector and HK Logic 7 Audio. There are 2 FAKRA connectors on the back of the Audio Head Unit ( Blue & Brown) and 4 on the back of the screen (of which 2 are connected - Pink & Purple)
I have tried all 6 with no success ref DAB (The dongle works with an antenna sticking out the window and the splitter cable is tested and fine). I have a feeling the DAB antenna is in the rear and connected via MOST but am not sure.
Also do you know how to change the top and bottom bars on the screen (Running Nova Prime)

Mine is a 2010, with two fakra connectors on the back of the screen unit and one on the cd unit and I can’t remember which one is the dab. I don’t think you can change the top and bottom bars using Nova, you may be able to do it with Fcc Car Launcher.
If you go into System Info, long press on the middle of the screen and enter 7890ok in the pop up box you can select a different Ui,I haven’t done it myself but I have seen videos of it being done.
Spend some time online searching for Px6 you can find lots of options.

Do you have a link for that one? I have the version without the knobs but would be interested in looking at that one a bit more.
