Right..... tested IID Tool on Android this morning and although the app loads and seems to work, it doesn't find the BT IID Tool. Looking into it a little further, there is a mass of posts on the Play Store for the app saying it doesn't work on newer phones, a list a mile long.
I'm going to email Pat at GAP and see if he has any suggestions.

Hi All
I have been following this thread and I am about to hit the pay now button on the Yanav store. Only thing I am hesitating on is whether the this item will work on my 2015 model which I have worked out is a Capacitive screen. Does any know if these are ones for this type of screen?
Fantastic thread by the way, I have been wanting a better solution than hanging a android tablet from the windscreen for years and this seems to tick all the boxes.

works on your screen 100% - the difference in options is to cater for the MY12 year changes - so rotary dial gear different to pre MY12 gear stick ... if you get model year right e.g. MY15 you will be fine  Stolen - D4 Loire Blue

Just seen these posts,went and downloaded the IID tool app.It loaded ok but just like you discovered, it can’t find the tool.

I too am really interested in fitting this but watching the video, I thought the load times for the various apps was quite slow. Am I the only person who thinks this??

Not really noticed it being slow to be honest, nothing really different than I see on my iPhone X or 11. Slight slowness when you first turn on the unit and it hasn’t finished loading in background but again that’s only for a very short while and isn’t always the case.
It’s not perfect, don’t get me wrong, it has its querks now and then, with the odd closure (seen it twice on Waze) of an app when not expected but quick to get back in and continue where it was previously. RLD CB Bracket

I have had mine installed now for nearly three months. I absolutely loved it,without doubt it’s the best mod you can do to an ageing Discovery.When I first installed it and began playing around, I did experience a few unexpected closures,but since I rooted it (a heart stopping experience)and got rid of all the preloaded cr*p and bloatware it’s been perfect.Boot up time is not fast, but the radio is instant and reverse camera is instant and by the time I have buckled up and driven out of my drive,everything is up and running. I recently watched a comparison video showing the differences between the px6 and the px3, (mine) there is not a lot in it.Saying that, the px6 is a better option.Mine behaves just as you would expect from an android tablet.It’s definitely not slow.For all the stuff that is now on there I find that CarPlay is what I use most.Just go for it,you won’t be disappointed and you can easily revert to the Stone Age at any time.
