Since you're going to replace the battery anyway, and are waiting for an assistant now would be a good time to do some cleaning of the mechatronic terminal block.
After the car goes to sleep remove the battery, undo the mechatronic connector and spray brake cleaner into the cable side to flush out any oil from the terminals. (NEVER DO THIS WITH BATTERY CONNECTED) Once you're happy that the blackened brake cleaner is draining out clean, dry the connector thoroughly with compressed air. This can be done with the g/box side too BUT ONLY when the mechatronic harness is removed from the g/box.
Allow plenty of time for everything to dry before reassembly.

Gents.
She’s fixed.
Put new battery on, no difference. So out of frustration I started to look through live data while the engine was running. Trying to see what the missing a message thing was when I noticed the map sensor was sitting at 40.0kpa regardless of throttle. It was only unplugged !! Well the pugs were together but not home. Ensured the plug was in and fault gone. “Transmission fault limited gears available” GONE.
“Hdc fault system unanavailable” GONE. “Parking brake fault” GONE !
Relief is an understatement. I gave her a quick run and my god what a difference ! The car feels so much better than it did !
To everyone who helped solve this, I can’t express my thanks enough for all your support and help.
Particularly gstuart and profsg you both have been immense help, Gary you said it would be something simple didn’t you !!!!
Now to bleed the brakes and get her for an mot.
Mods could you please mark this as solved ! I’ll edit the first post. I would be eternally great full of you would link this to my car thread.
Looks like I need to make a decent site donation ! And where’s that sticker gone. I think she deserves to wear it now. Jarrod

My parents are in Rhiwderin village so if I'm ever passing I'll pop in to take a look at your lift setup and bother you with stupid questions! 😂👍
On all seriousness well done on all the the effort you have put in.. Not only to fixing her up but bothering to post your progress.. Now go and enjoy a beer! 🍻

I wouldn’t have got there without your help guys, I really am humbled that what were essentially complete strangers would do so much to help, Gary you in particular have given up hours and hours of your time searching for things that could help me. It’s situations like this that restore your faith in humanity.
Thankyou all again. From the heart of my bottom. Jarrod

Hi mate
Thks for the kind words and honestly was no trouble at all, found the thread very interesting and it cost me nothing to look for links , part number etc
As one day I may be in a bind and need help , also is nice being able to give something back to the forum as I also had great help
Is so nice having collective help and indeed I know from past projects would have seriously struggled without help from others
Ps, think u can edit ur first post in order u can change the title to fixed
