As an aside, the mobile renderIng of that commmercial mini-site is a mess. There is a model variant selector that hovers randomly as you scroll, flickering and blocking the body of the page. The header menu appears and disappears seemingly randomly.
Other than that the font and background keeps changing and it’s just one big scroll, no sections to expand and contact.

Even if many of us might clear them in normal use, if you back up to a kerb, or some kind of loading bay, that headroom will vanish quickly enough. I’ve done it once already in the FF (when backed up to a kerb) and that’s a much safer design! 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

It's £45,333 for the 3.0L SE, excl VAT - only truly makes sense when you can reclaim the VAT but it's still 25% up on the cost for the 'old' D4 Commercial with the 3.0L engine which had a list price of £36k! D4 Commercial - 65 Plate, 2016MY

Do they all have electric tail gates? Could the struts be replaced or adjusted to make it open higher?

Stealer has been all over me today (two different ones in fact) ............. so you will be ordering one then to replace your D4 Commercial?!
Now let me see.................. D5 Commercial HSE because I like toys (without looking at the Configurator which will add another £5k easy) a mere £60k. Bloomin' heck!
You have got to be having a laugh
That would be one very expensive VAN.
Me thinks the VW T6 Kombo order can now go in ......................
Keep the D4................ for now either way. It will be a collectors item soon "Track day running - Don't put your foot back on the accelerator until your absolutely sure you don't have to take it off again"

I've managed to get a long term (24hr+) test in both and it possibly depends on what you want to do with it...
There's nothing wrong with the Ingenium engine, indeed it works very well, but the torque band is slightly different to the 3.0L.
My preference is likely to be the 3.0L SE as this is a direct (if mis-shapen) replacement for the current vehicle. D4 Commercial - 65 Plate, 2016MY

I think for the amount of towing that I do I would be best suited to the 3.0.
I'm getting quite excited. i love shopping for new cars. However, I still think the back of the D5 is soooo ugly.
Looks like its going to be the HSE for me. However, I would really like to sit down with a paper brochure so i can scan the options- might just spec up an SE....

Who’s going to be the first commercial owner over on Disco5.co.uk?
I have the SE spec, for me it has everything, LED headlights, sat nav, parking sensors all round, leather interior. The 18MY will have the Incontrol Pro system, which does have its issues but looks better than my standard Incontrol system. I think the HSE comes with the digital dash, option on SE, which I would’ve liked.
What colour are you guys going with? If I was ordering again it would be Byron with black pack. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green
